Thank GOODNESS!!!!!!!!

We now have broadband at home again.  I've just installed it (and had to calm down whilst doing it as I was gagging for it).  Phew! No more crap library computers or paying for Wi-Fi in the only vaguely decent pub around.

 You'd think that, now we have moved out of the Mersea flat, that our landlady would stop being such a complete bitch.  Apparently not.  She has left us a voicemail, and sent an email, complaining about the 'state of the flat'.  Not only this but she has felt the need to get personal, using remarks such as 'I'd expect nothing less from you two ( Read more... )

We moved on Friday.  Not too bad except the movers turned up 2 hours late.  Although they were forgiven for getting the job done in less than 2 hours door to door.  Turned out to be much less hassle and cheaper than hiring a van.  The flat is a bomb site, we need to buy a few furniture bits and bobs before we can unpack a lot of stuff, so it will ( Read more... )

 After some hiccups and uncertainty, we are moving next Friday.  Off to a nice two bedroom flat in Rowhedge, closer to town and still quiet and villagey.  Unfurnished too, which is what we wanted so we can now get our own stuff.  Although we don't currently have a bed, and the one I want will take a couple of weeks to be delivered.  So, airbed then ( Read more... )
