While I was browsing through the newest trailers www.apple.com/trailers I saw that The Golden Compass will be released in December ! I can't wait to see the movie and to read once again ( for the 3rd or 4th time actually) the book. The movie appears to be spectacular too : the lights, the effects and the actors : Nicole Kidman, one of my favorite

i saw the trailer at the cinema when i went to watch "the simpsons". i can't wait to see it! and yes, i love the trilogy - though the fact that ron/hermione exists in harry potter made the series more superior to "his dark materials" trilogy *lol*. but i think the books are brilliant, i love will parry - one of the most beloved boy characters for me (other than ron and jack in "the talisman")

Oh yes I remember your entry now ! I don't think the trailer is yet in the theaters in France. Lol, yes I have to say Ron/hermione are ♥ especially in the 6th book I think, I think that Will/Lyra is different, so ok for the relationships in the 2 books, I'll give you equal ; ). Will is amazing, I agree, and even more when you know how he accepts to believe even though he's from "our" world. Is the Talisman another book of the trilogy, or a totally different book ? 'Cause I'm taking any book recommandation from you my dear.

no, no, "The Talisman" is a stand-alone novel, written by Stephen King and Peter Straubb. If you like Stephen King books, you might give this one a try. Jack is the main character in this book, and I love him to pieces (much like Will ;p)

meeep! I'm about to read the last book of His Dark Materials. I've enjoyed them so much. And I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

I am going to order these book-series online in a few days. Still deciding which edition I want to get (there is so many to choose from). My sister already read the first part and recommended it to me. I am getting more exciting to read it now that both you and at_midnight have recommended it.

I've decided to postpone it for a while. Because I went to the bookstore tuesday and I bought a couple of other books so I will wait until I've finished reading those. Also, I am rereading all the Harry Potter books so I want to finish that first as well. But it's definitely on the top of my to-buy list.
