First Night With French People

Sep 20, 2007 00:10

I just went to a bar in London with other french people of my LLB in English and French law but most of them are from Paris and not they are not mean or anything but I don't feel really "connected" with them, they are too "formal" for some things. Seems kinda hard uh considering most ppl in London aren't British. Every time I actually hear someone speak British in the center of London, I am astonished. Oh, so there are British ppl left ?
I didn't go out with French when I was in Bristol, was a choice and it was a great one.
Have fun

Actually I met a few people in my course who are British : ). But all i want is not to be with French people, I want to speak English, not French.
I admire your choice,I'm trying to do the same, though it's not always easy because I don't have any close friends at the moment.
Take care, don't forget I am there for you if you need me.

*hugs*

I was the exact opposite when I stayed in England, I had this horrible tendency to stay with other Spanish people because I had so much fun with them! lol
But I understand your point, you should just go find people you can "connect" with ;)
Anyway, I'm SO glad you're happy there hun!!

Yes exactly I want to find this connection, and it is difficult to find actually... I hope I will find it.
Being in London is great but the first months won't be all great I guess, still I'm trying to make the most of it. = )

i can imagine ... i mean, sometimes when we are outside our country, we'd like to stay around with other people from different part of the world. i would like to do that when i was in cambodia but then again, most cambodian people cannot speak english *lol*

Lol, still good luck with that Ami ; ).
I will see those people on Monday, it's so hard to have to make new friends. The last time I had to do this was when I was 6 !
