Suicide Squad

   I saw the film Thursday night, and well, I was just kinda "meh" about it. Now, I don't think it was quite the mess that the critics touted it to be, but it definitely wasn't outstanding. I've been curious about Suicide Squad as I've heard so many mixed reviews. I'm glad it isn't as dire as the critics claim, but it's probably a good idea to lower my expectations if I do go to see it. *g*

I have a bit of a soft spot for DC because my absolute favourite film is Richard Donner's Superman. I fell in love with it (and Christopher Reeve) as a kid and nothing has managed to surpass it for me. Ironically, I'm really not much of a comic book fan. I just love this move. *g*

It really doesn't follow the formula of the Superman/Batman movies(as I loved the old Reeve films and recently the Nolan Batman trilogy) that we cut our teeth on. If you keep that in mind, you'll be ok. I was disappointed in that respect. From what I've been told, this film followed the same pattern as BvS. Now, I'm glad that I skipped that one.

For me, the actors were the real gems of the movie, except Jared Leto. 'shudders' I'll probably watch it again later and FF thru his 11 minutes. LOL
