Watchmen

Was very good. I'm not going to go into spoilers, but I thought it was a good adaptation, and fairly faithful to the book, as I remember it.

But most of all, I thought the soundtrack was particularly - and note-worthily - excellent.

I liked it as well - I can see why they made the changes they did, and on the whole, I don't have a problem with them. I'm looking forward to seeing the DVD version with the Black Freighter and Under the Hood stuff, but I wonder if there'll be an extended version of the film, with the various cut sideplots put back in.

And yes, the soundtrack was fantastic right from the start.

There's a rumour that Gerald Butler is going to be the Captain of the Black Freighter. This will be awesome.

Also, apparently there will be a Director's Cut at some point - the material was filmed, but cut for cinema release. To be fair, it was pretty long already, and although it was fairly well paced, it did have a few slow moments (Zack Snyder can't direct a sex scene to save his life). I don't see how most audiences would have sat through *much* more.
