I map every other city onto Edinburgh. Using London as an example,

Bayswater = Bruntsfield
South Kensington = The West End of the New Town
Elephant and Castle = Wester Hailes
Hampstead Heath = Holyrood Park
Fulham = Corstorphine
Shepherd's Bush = Abbeyhill

and so it goes on...

It doesn't matter how many times I see the word "Corstorphine", it never ceases to look like a substance that errant youths liberate from hospitals for dubious recreational purposes.

I imagine it would have several "street names" that the BBC would duly inform the public of. "Also known as Cross, Torfin and Dick Turpin, its increasingly widespread use is of concern . . ."

If you're looking for other Scottish place names that sound like illegal drugs then how about Torphins (perhaps another street name for Big C?), Glassel, Monymusk, or Kinshaldie?
