Letter in Irish Times today:
Madam, - I recently discovered that it is against Dublin Bus regulations to sing on the bus. This seems authoritarian and petty. Buses are traditional venues for singing, and personally, I believe my morning commute would be enriched by hearing a fellow passenger lifting his or her voice to express the joys of life.

I am really trying to, but it's almost unimaginable.
There is a young man who walks the same way to work as me and he sings along to his mp3 player at the top of his lungs in the morning. I have changed my route.

Our upstairs neighbour likes to belt out ballads, usually around 10pm. Last night it was that Bruno Mars one, while I was trying to watch Game of Thrones.
