That sounds wonderful, but the idea is to write about something specific. Let that artist inside of you out! For example...
My perfect vacation:
Autumn in New England at a Bed and Breakfast (At least one whole week) Peak foliage season No kids Tapping trees for maple syrup Horse drawn carriage / sleigh rides (depending on whether or not there's snow) at night under a harvest moon Hot cider by the fire place Uninterrupted sleep underneath a beautiful down comforter Dinner at the B&B with the other lodgers who are all pleasant and interesting Seeing a play or two Lots of hikes through the woods / countryside / town Long hot baths with lots of candles
Oh, and it would be nice to have someone who's in love with me (and I with him) to share it all with, but not necessarily necessary...
Two weeks of baseball with friends, for free, with leisure time in the major cities.
Fly down to Miami to catch the Marlins play.
Take a bus to Tampa Bay to watch the Devil Rays.
Cut up the eastern seaboard towards Atlanta to see the Braves, stay for three days to hang out with my brother. He would continue the trip with us.
Head to DC to see the Nationals play at RFK, spend an extra day there to sightsee like a nerdy tourist.
Baltimore for the Orioles.
Pittsburgh and Philadelphia for the Pirates and the Phillies, respectively.
Finally, up to New York for the Yankees and the Mets and, God willing, both will lose. Spend the remainder of the time there in NYC to do all the touristy shit.
Fly home and check myself into a hospital to treat the second-degree sunburns from sitting out in the sun for too long.
That's fantastic! Muy descriptive, I felt like I was *right* there! And yes, any vacation should conclude with at least a week to recuperate from all the "sunburns" and such.
