RELOCATION!

I'm MOVING!

To Newport Beach. Or that area.

We will be giving our notice to our landlord on the first. Wish us luck, as neither of us have jobs lined up, we are pretty broke, and as yet, have no place to live. WOOHOO!!!

Well that sounds like a fun move. I'm sure they will have another yarn store there if you still want to do that.

It would feel weird, I think. Also I feel like it's difficult to work in two stores in the same industry. It's too easy to fall into the trap of "At _____ we did it THIS way."

I suppose it will be fun once we're done with it. But right now it's really just terrifying. o_O

Yeah that is true. So are you guys just ready to move or is there a specific reason for the area you are going to?
I just moved and am trying to find a job in a small town, it has me scared! I'll start school in September but until then I think I will live on Ramen and Tuna :)

I should have included this in the main journal entry, really.

We're moving for a couple reasons. The main reason is that there are more job opportunities down there for artists. So it SHOULD be easier for Rob to find a job involving art.

And the other reason is that my sister is living down in that area now. She's actually in Encino, which is about 60 miles away from Newport Beach, but that's MUCH closer than she's been. And I think we need each other right now.

Also, I'm hoping to get a job at Shiny, working with my kickass friend Andrew. This is not a certain thing, however, which is why I'm a little anxious about the move. I like to know what I'm jumping into...

When I lived in Illinois, I survived on Ramen, Coke, and rice. I actually lost 30 pounds too! I think that's mostly because for a short time, I was doing situps whenever I felt hungry. o_O

It's a little south of LA. I told Allison yesterday (Sunday). She seemed to take it well, but I suspect that's partly because she's sick of me. LOL

I would love to get together with you at least once before I leave. And I think we need to have a party of some sort, as a gala send-off. ~_^ But it can't really be at my place. Not only am I too far away from most people, but too many people are allergic to cats. -_-

yeah you're a shoe-in at Shiny for sure! But when we have how many openings and who they pick first for what is always so up in the air that their most definite answers come out even more convoluted that this!
Still, try to enjoy the ride and not freak out... I'll keep pullin all these strings that I never even realized I had.

Once you're in Newport Beach it's nearly impossible to avoid having a wonderful life anyway. ;D
