Anyway, so now we are hoping and praying that my car insurance will pay for this repair. Sugar in the gas tank can only be an act of vandalism, so it should be ok.
I hope they pay for it too. I would be writing horrid letters to the big guys at Honda for the service you recieved at that dealer. Well I hope you can get it taken care of soon and at minimal costs.
I am sorry this is such an ordeal; those dealership people sound so aggravating! I hope you can get them to send you a written note saying that there is gas in the tank, so you can take that to the insurance people and get some money for this whole thing.
Also, if you are motivate ^_~ to do so, I wonder if there are blogs where you can post your experience.
ps.. i am trying to be polite, since, if I were in your position, I fear I might be consumed with thoughts of naughty four letter words and schemes of revenge. It seems like there is something really weird going on with those people at the dealer when you brought it in for a transmission fix and then have to face this sugar situation.
If you think about it, it would really behoove the mechanics at the dealership to do this to my car themselves. It would be near impossible to prove they did anything wrong, and would guarantee them lots of work. ~_^

Cars are a mess. OMG.
What I want is a new car, for free. Wouldn't that be awesome?
