"Kyuhyun ah, let's go meet the family who just moved in next door" A little boy was busy playing in the living room with one of his robot toys when his mother called him. A family had just occupied the spacious house next door, and Cho Leeteuk, the little boy's mother, couldn't wait to meet them, knowing that she'll be gaining new friends soon.
"You go ahead, umma. I'll just stay and play here" little Kyuhyun said, earning an annoyed look from his mother. Leeteuk decided not to force her son and just let him be. Before leaving the house, she took the basket of cookies she just baked to serve as a welcoming gift for their new neighbors.
When she was making her way towards the house, a woman, who was carrying a baby, just got out of the door. "Oh, such a cute baby" Leeteuk thought to herself and fastened her pace to greet the two. "Hello! Welcome to the neighborhood. I'm Cho Leeteuk, you're next door neighbor. Oh, I made these for you and your family. Such a wonderful baby you have" she said while flashing her pearly whites and exposing her dimple.
The woman smiled at her and introduced herself as well. "Hi. Thank you for the warm welcome and the cookies. I'm Lee Heechul and this is my baby girl, Sungmin" the baby giggled as her mother introduced her. The two mothers smiled at the adorableness of the baby.
After a few more talking, Heechul bid goodbye to Leeteuk because she wanted to take baby Sungmin for a walk. When Leeteuk got inside her house, she was all smiles as she told little Kyuhyun about the talk she had with their new neighbor. "-Oh, and they have a baby girl too. You should've gone with me-" Leeteuk continued blabbering and little Kyuhyun just pretended to be listening to his mother.
The next day, it was the fathers turn to meet. Cho Kangin was busy fixing his car while Lee Hankyung was pushing baby Sungmin's stroller. When Kangin saw the father and daughter about to pass by, he took the opportunity to introduce himself to his new neighbor. "Hey, neighbor. How was your first night here? I'm Cho Kangin by the way" he said as he smiled and made a funny face for the baby.
Hankyung laughed at his neighbor's silliness, but he knew they were going to get along just fine. "Hello. Well, we had good sleep, so I guess that's a good start. I'm Lee Hankyung and this is Sungmin, my daughter" he said while smiling.

The Chos and the Lees got closer. Whenever Kangin and Leeteuk would go to work, they would leave little Kyuhyun at the Lees so he could play with baby Sungmin. Little Kyuhyun didn't like it at first because baby Sungmin would always hit him with a rattle or a baby bottle and laugh at him. He never scolded the young one though, because he enjoyed hearing the little one's adorable giggles.
2 years have passed, and before they knew it, Sungmin could finally walk on her own without anyone's help. Through the years, Kyuhyun and Sungmin grew up together and would always be seen with each other wherever they went. Kyuhyun even begged his parents not to let him go to school yet because he wanted Sungmin to be with him, but since the little one was still too young to study, his parents couldn't help but say yes to their son's request.

Years have passed and the two were finally first year high school students. Both of them knew that a lot of things will change once they enter this level, but they promised each other that they would still be best friends, no matter what happens.
Days have passed, the two would still hang out together after classes, but both were starting to feel something towards each other. Whenever Sungmin would be near Kyuhyun, the latter felt like he was going to melt, especially when Sungmin would smile at him.
As for Sungmin, whenever Kyuhyun was around her, her heart would beat really fast and she would feel all fuzzy inside just by seeing his smile.

"Omo, Minnie, you're in love with him!" A girl named Lee Eunhyuk said while they were taking a walk in the school garden. Eunhyuk was Sungmin's girl best friend. When they were in the 1st grade, Eunhyuk was a new student then. She would always follow Sungmin wherever the latter went, and then poof, they became the best of friends since then.
"You think so, Hyukkie? We did grow up together, so I must've developed these feelings through the years" Sungmin said as she sat down on the grass field, Eunhyuk followed. She had been thinking about confessing it to Kyuhyun, but she doesn't know if the boy will accept it, since she knew she would only be just a best friend to him.

"Make a move already!" Kyuhyun heard his guy best friend, Lee Donghae, yell at him. They have been talking about his feelings for Sungmin all day, and Donghae couldn't take it anymore. "It's all about Sungmin, how about Star Craft?" Donghae thought to himself.
"You think I should do it later?" Donghae just nodded, trying to stop himself from yelling at his friend for being so slow in admitting his feelings for his best friend.

Kyuhyun and Sungmin always went home together after school. It was always a night full of laughters, but this time, it was full of silence and awkwardness. None of them bothered to start a conversation, because they might end up confessing how they really feel for each other.
"Good night" Kyuhyun said before heading towards his own house. Before he could even take a step, Sungmin pulled him and hugged him. He was gonna do this too, if only the fear of Sungmin not feeling the same way about him didn't stop him. Kyuhyun was surprised at Sungmin's sudden action, but he decided to hug her back, trying to let her know how he really feels about her.
"I love you, Kyuhyun" Sungmin confessed and the said boy's eyes widened and his heart started beating fast. He felt really happy because she loves him too. Without a care in the world, he looked at her in the eyes and kissed her sweetly. Sungmin wasn't expecting this, but she responded to the kiss.
After a minute of kissing, Kyuhyun broke the kiss and hugged her again. "I love you more, Sungmin" Kyuhyun said as he gives her a kiss on the cheek. Sungmin felt relieved and ecstatic that Kyuhyun feels the same way. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Kyuhyun let go of her and knelt in front of her.
Sungmin couldn't be anymore happier as tears started flowing from her eyes as she nods and gives Kyuhyun a passionate kiss. The two smiled in the kiss, knowing that this could last forever. They knew everything about each other. They were perfect for each other.

Kyuhyun and Sungmin made it through high school, even though they fought a lot because of jealousy and stuff, they love each other too much that they couldn't last a day not talking to each other. Their parents have approved of their relationship and was very happy when they first found out that the two were dating each other.
Things started to take a turn though when they became college students...
