As soon as Kyuhyun and Sungmin saw the headline of the newspaper the person beside them was reading, the former asked for their bill, paid and left immediately. When they got back to the entertainment company's building, all eyes were on the couple, but they chose to ignore them and headed straight to Sungmin's office.
Thinking that they were already away from the spotlight and could already heave out a sigh of relief as soon as the door was closed, Kyuhyun and Sungmin were surprised to see Jinki sitting on the latter's chair, smoke coming out of his ears as he was furious of the news.
"Cho Kyuhyun and Lee Sungmin! I want an explanation" Jinki slammed the newspaper on Sungmin's desk, making the latter and Kyuhyun twitch and hug each other. "Yah! Let go of each other. I want an explanation, not a romantic scene in front of me!" Jinki yelled once again.
Sungmin was about to speak, but Kyuhyun cut her off. "Sir, Sungmin and I have been together ever since she was a baby. We started going out when we were in high school and everything was going well, but when we got into college, that's where Zhou Mi entered our lives. If it weren't for her getting me drugged and doing 'something' to me, Sungmin and I would've been married by now. She was the one who stole someone else's boyfriend in the first place, not Sungmin."
Jinki was at a loss for words as he never expected that Kyuhyun and Sungmin were together even before the two entered the company. Another thing that shocked him the most was what Zhou Mi did to Kyuhyun. Jinki immediately picked up his phone from the desk and called someone. Kyuhyun and Sungmin could only stare at each other and hope for the best.
"A press conference is scheduled for the two of you tomorrow, so you better be ready" Jinki informed them as soon as he ended the phone call with whoever it was he was talking to and immediately left Sungmin's office.
"Kyu, what are we going to do?" Sungmin asked as she pulled Kyuhyun into an embrace. The two of them didn't hear any reaction from Jinki after Kyuhyun's explanation, making them more nervous as to what their boss was up to.
Kyuhyun gave Sungmin a peck on the lips before speaking. "We'll tell them the truth, okay? Whatever Zhou Mi has to say about it, I already know what I'm going to respond, so calm down, baby." The two of them continued hugging each other until a knock on the door was heard, making the two of them break away from each other.
Sungmin immediately went back to her seat, while Kyuhyun was pretending to be fixing the former's schedule for tomorrow. "Come in!" Sungmin beamed and she and Kyuhyun waited for the person to enter her office. "Hyukkie!" The former got up from her chair and gave the said girl a tight hug.
"Yah! Kyuhyun ah, aren't you gonna give me a hug?" Trailing behind Eunhyuk was Donghae, Kyuhyun's best friend. Kyuhyun pretended not to hear him, but instead of Donghae hugging him, he got a smack on the head from the former.
"Ouch! That hurt" Kyuhyun glared at Donghae before pulling the latter into a hug and taking revenge on him by smacking his head as well, earning a yelp from him. Sungmin and Eunhyuk giggled at the two's silliness and continued chatting the day away.
Kyuhyun and Sungmin told the two about everything that happened and Donghae and Eunhyuk didn't know how to react. The two were happy to hear that they were together forever for good and did assure them that they will support them no matter what happens at tomorrow's press conference.
Before Donghae and Eunhyuk left, they informed Kyuhyun and Sungmin about their relationship. The two could only gape at the former couple for not telling them earlier. They were about to ask Donghae and Eunhyuk more about their relationship, but Kyuhyun and Sungmin decided to do it some other time, since they still have to prepare for their press conference tomorrow.

The next day came with a blink of an eye, and before they knew it, cameras were already flashing in front of them while they waited for the press conference to start. The room was crowded and noisy that you wouldn't be able to hear what the person beside you is saying.
"Everyone, we will start in a few minutes, so please go back to your respective seats and tone down your voices" Someone spoke from one of the microphones placed on the long table. Reporters and cameramen immediately followed the person's command as the room was now filled with deafening silence.
Kyuhyun, Sungmin and Jinki tried to remain as calm as possible, while the last guy to be mentioned kept searching for someone in the room, with the two people beside him not even noticing.
Questions were threw at them as soon as it started. They answered it professionally and without a doubt. When everyone heard Kyuhyun's explanation, the same one he told Jinki, everyone was silent until his last word. All were shocked and remained immovable, until a girl sprang in the room, shouting. "That's not true!"
All eyes fell on the person who just barged inside the room. It was Zhou Mi, and she was making her way to the stage, with her manager trailing behind her. Her manager was uttering words as if asking her to stop what she was doing.
Zhou Mi kept complaining and was about to slap Zhou Mi when another person entered the room and halted everyone. "Stop! Let's end this once and for all. We'll use a lie detector between Mr. Kyuhyun and Ms. Zhou Mi" It was Kibum, and before Kyuhyun and Sungmin could react, Jinki told them that he was the one he called yesterday.
Jinki decided to call Kibum yesterday because he knows that the latter knows about Kyuhyun's explanation. He did ask him for help, but he was surprised himself when Kibum brought a lie detector with him.
As soon as the lie detector test was over, Kyuhyun was confirmed to be telling the truth. Knowing that she embarrassed herself on live TV, Zhou Mi broke down in front of everyone, but while she was crying, she kept apologizing to everyone, especially to Kyuhyun and Sungmin.
After clarifying things up, Zhou Mi left the place and the press conference ended. Jinki, Kyuhyun and Sungmin then thanked Kibum. Bright smiles could be seen on both Kyuhyun's and Sungmin's face and they gave each other a hug and a kiss, earning 'aww's from the people around them.
As soon as Kyuhyun broke the kiss, he knelt down on one knee and decided to propose to Sungmin. The latter then said 'yes' to him and they share another kiss, but this time, it was a passionate one. Everyone clapped their hands and congratulated the two.
EPILOGUE
After a year of preparations, Kyuhyun and Sungmin finally got married. Family, friends and colleagues were present at their wedding, including Kibum and Zhou Mi. Kibum remained single and decided to focus on his company. As for Zhou Mi, her career did fall after what she did, but after a year, her career went back to it's normal state.
Jinki stopped complaining every time Kyuhyun and Sungmin would hug or kiss each other during work. He figured that he should just let them be and maybe find someone for him as well.
While Kyuhyun and Sungmin were sharing a passionate kiss inside the latter's office, someone knocked on the door again, making the two groan at the disturbance. "Hellooooo! Congratulations" Key entered before the two could even pull away. "Oh, sorry.."
"It's okay, Key" Sungmin smiled and thought that her former assistant still hasn't changed at all. While they were enjoying the cake Key brought, the latter said something that made both Kyuhyun and Sungmin choke.
"You know, you should thank me.." Key started. "I was the one who told the front desks of the hotels you went to that you were married, so you'd be roomed together.."
