Sungmin just got home from work that day and was surprised to see no one in her shared apartment with her boyfriend, Kyuhyun. When she checked their bedroom for any sign of the latter, she found him lying on the bed, back facing her. As soon as she approached him, she was surprised to see him crying.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
Kyuhyun didn't answer her and just continued crying. He was surprised when the space beside him was now occupied by Sungmin. She wrapped her arms around him and caressed his cheeks, then gave him a kiss on the cheeks.
"Baby, answer me, please.."
Kyuhyun unclasped her arms from his waist and wiped her kiss off his cheeks. Sungmin felt a little hurt as to why he was acting like this towards her. Kyuhyun turned around and faced her, eyes full of pain and anger.
"You tell me what's up! I saw you with someone else, Sungmin!"
Sungmin was shocked with what Kyuhyun said and tried to remember who she was with today. When she finally remembered, she spoke again.
"Siwon's just a friend of mine, Kyu. He got back from the U.S.A. and wanted to meet up with me. There's nothing going on between us.."
Sungmin thought that Kyuhyun would understand her, but she thought wrong.
"If there's nothing going on between you, why was he holding your hand?! Why was he caressing your cheek?!"
Sungmin finally broke down. There's nothing really going on between her and Siwon, but because she was crying, she couldn't explain things clearly, which lead Kyuhyun to believe that she was cheating on him.
Kyuhyun didn't really like it when she cries, but because he was so angry, he didn't care. When he noticed that Sungmin still wasn't speaking, he said the words that ended their relationship of 2 years.
"Leave, Sungmin! Go with that Siwon of yours and don't ever come back!"
"But Kyu.."
Kyuhyun got off the bed and was about to go to the living room, when Sungmin hugged him from behind and turned him around so he could face her. As soon as Kyuhyun was already facing her, she kneeled in front of him and asked her not to let her go, but Kyuhyun's pride got the best of him. He pushed her away from him and she fell on the floor.
"Kyu, don't do this, please.."
"Do you want me to drag you out of this room?! I said, leave, now!"
Sungmin couldn't take the pain anymore and stood up. She took her luggages from one of their cabinets and started packing her things. When she was done, she made her way to the front door, but before she left, she glanced back at the place she lived in for 2 years and at the person she loved and still loves, tears still flowing from her eyes.
"Goodbye, Kyu.."
When Sungmin left, Kyuhyun went back to their bedroom, no, his bedroom and broke down. He punched the mirror on the dresser which used to be where Sungmin's make up were. Kyuhyun couldn't feel the pain, even though his fist was bleeding and had pieces of glass stuck on it. He was too numb to feel anymore pain.
Kyuhyun blamed himself for everything. He didn't even dare wait for Sungmin's explanation, his pride really did get the best of him. "You're so stupid! She was everything to you and you were everything to her, but you just had to yell at her" he thought to himself.

It has been a year since their break-up, and during that whole year, Kyuhyun still couldn't let go of his past. He would often be at bars every night, drinking and dancing with all the girls there, but when he gets home, he would just cry himself to sleep, because no matter what he does, Sungmin will always be a part of him.
A lot of his co-workers have been trying to get his attention ever since they saw that he wasn't wearing his couple ring with Sungmin's name engraved on it anymore. One of the girls luckily caught his heart, but to no avail, Kyuhyun still hadn't moved on.

The girl he was dating now was really different from Sungmin. She was a shop-a-holic, unlike Sungmin who was a cheapskate. She put on a lot of make-up, unlike Sungmin who liked to look natural. She couldn't cook, unlike Sungmin who's cooking made Kyuhyun fall in love more. She was unorganized, unlike Sungmin who liked everything neat and tidy. There's more and Kyuhyun couldn't count anymore. She was, indeed, very different from Sungmin.
Yes, the girl is pretty, but she's not as beautiful as Sungmin. No, she's nothing like Sungmin.

Months have passed, while Kyuhyun and his girlfriend were having lunch at a restaurant near their office, he was surprised to see someone very familiar walk into the place. "Sungmin.." he blurted out. He excused himself from his girlfriend and made his way towards Sungmin.
Even though it's almost 2 years since they separated, Sungmin was still the same beautiful and bubbly girl he used to love and still loves. When Sungmin noticed him, his heart jumped for joy as she said his name.
"Kyuhyun?"
"Hi Minnie. Long time no see"
"Hmm, hehe"
It was awkward between the two of them, to be talking like this compared to the conversation they when they broke up. Before they could even continue their conversation, a guy suddenly hugged Sungmin from behind, startling her. When she turned around to see who it was, she smiled and gave the guy a peck on the lips.
Kyuhyun couldn't only stare at them and feel his heart break into pieces. His Sungmin is no longer his, but someone else's already.
"Kyuhyun, meet Donghae, my fiance"
Kyuhyun's heart broke into tinier pieces as soon as he heard who the guy was to Sungmin. He tried to hide his pain and smiled at the guy, but Sungmin knew better and saw that he was hurting. She still loves him, but because of what he did to her before, she just couldn't forgive him anymore.
"Let's order now, dear. You still have to take care of the cake and the flowers later"
"Okay, baby."
"Enjoy your lunch"
That was all Kyuhyun could say as he saw that she was happy, very happy, with her fiance. He went back to his table with his girlfriend, but he couldn't take his eyes off the couple who was just two tables away from them. The couple was conversing happily, and Kyuhyun felt envious. He was lucky to have Sungmin, but he was too stupid to let her go. He was still staring at them, when his girlfriend spoke.
"Babe, finish your food already"
Kyuhyun could remember clearly that he and Sungmin would always feed each other, even in public. He continued staring at them and thought to himself that he should be the one wearing the same engagement ring with Sungmin, not that guy. When his girlfriend noticed that he wasn't listening, she yelled at him, causing everyone, even Sungmin and Donghae, to look at them.
"Babe! I said finish your food!"
Kyuhyun came back to his senses, and when he realized what his girlfriend did, he bowed to everyone. He looked at Sungmin and noticed that she was looking back at him, but he couldn't decipher what her facial expression meant; was it pity or longing?
"Let's leave now"
Kyuhyun said and dragged his girlfriend out of the restaurant. When they were finally out, he scolded his girlfriend for yelling in public. He never scolded Sungmin in public, moreover, Sungmin never did anything to catch everyone's attention, but whenever he would correct Sungmin, she would listen to him. As for his girlfriend, she just walked away from him, even though he was still talking.
Before following his girlfriend, he took one last look through the restaurant's window and stared at Donghae and Sungmin who were giggling and were feeding each other. One thing's for sure, he had lost Sungmin forever.
"She will never be like you.."
