"Kyu, you will be here on Christmas, right?" Sungmin said to her boyfriend, Kyuhyun.
"I'm not sure, Min. I still have to take care of the family business in Singapore. You do know that managing a condominium here and there is not as easy as it looks" Kyuhyun half-heartedly answered.
Sungmin and Kyuhyun are going to celebrate their 1st anniversary on Christmas day, but the only things stopping them are his mom and of course, their family business. Kyuhyun's mom, Ryeowook, doesn't approve of their relationship, even though she knows that her son's reason of happiness is the girl he loves the most, not her, but Sungmin. Ryeowook has always been jealous of her, because her son spends more time with her, not with his own mother, also, her own husband, Yesung, was always busy taking care of their Turtle Sanctuary in Gyeonggi, which made her seek for a lot of attention from her son. Before, she and Kyuhyun would always go to places, but when Lee Sungmin came into their lives during Kyuhyun's last year in college, she lost all of her son's attention, which made her envy Sungmin and find ways to get rid of her and win back her son.
"But it's our first anniversary and our first Christmas together, can't auntie make considerations?" Sungmin then started to cry. She's aware of Ryeowook's disapproval of their relationship, but she thinks that if Kyuhyun really loves her, he will do anything just so he can be home for Christmas, and of course, their anniversary.
Kyuhyun hesitated on responding to her, but he doesn't want her to continue crying. He loves Sungmin, so much, but he knows that his mother will do something if he lets her and their business down. "Min, baby, I'm really sorry, but you know what mom will do to both of us if I don't follow her orders, right? I love you so much, and I really want to be with you on that day, but please think that I'm doing this for us."
Sungmin was facing the window, so Kyuhyun hugged her from the back to comfort her. He made her turn around so they could face each other. "Baby, please stop crying. I don't like it when you're like this." Kyuhyun tilted her chin and kissed her softly. When Sungmin kissed back, he smiled and pulled away, earning a pout from her. "Why did you stop?" "I want you to stop crying fir-" Sungmin cut him off and kissed him passionately and they dragged each other to bed, with Sungmin on top.
As much as Kyuhyun wanted to do it, he has to leave early tomorrow, so he rolled them over and pulled away from Sungmin. "Kyuuuuu!" "I'm sorry, baby. I really want to, but you don't want me to miss my flight tomorrow, right?" "Yes, I want you to miss your flight so-" Kyuhyun decided to cut her off before she says something that will stop him from leaving. "Good night, baby" Kyuhyun then moved to her side, so they could cuddle each other. Sungmin was about to sleep with a pout on her face, but Kyuhyun kissed it away, and they ended up sleeping, while kissing.
"I hope my plan will work this time" a smirking Ryeowook said to herself while tapping her cellphone's keypads.
