The next day, Kyuhyun woke up to a close-up of his beautiful girl, Sungmin, with their lips still intact, which made him smile. He slowly removed his lips from hers, not wanting to wake her up, but failed, since she groaned when his lips left hers. "Good morning, beautiful. Did you sleep well?" Kyuhyun smirked. "Why yes, handsome. You know, we should do that more often. I do love waking up with your sweet lips attached to mine" a sleepy yet smiling Sungmin replied. They were about to kiss again, but then someone rang the doorbell, which annoyed the two.
Kyuhyun went to answer the door. Sungmin, on the other hand, looked at the clock beside their bed and noticed that it was already 9:00 AM, an hour pass the flight of Kyuhyun, which was supposed to be 8 AM. "He must've enjoyed the attachment of our lips that's why he forgot to wake up early" she giggled to herself. Sungmin then ran towards their living room, but stopped as she saw Ryeowook coming inside. When Ryeowook sat down, Sungmin poke Kyuhyun's arm, signaling him to look at the clock above their TV, which shocked him. Still, he couldn't move from his place and leave the two, knowing that Ryeowook might say or do something to hurt Sungmin. Ryeowook noticed the two still glued to where they were standing and told them, "If you're worrying about your flight, I moved it. I'm going with you, Kyuhyun." The two were shocked after hearing Ryeowook's statement.
"But mom, how about dad?" Kyuhyun was about to apologize for asking that, knowing that his parents barely spend time with each other, because his father was always busy with his turtles. His parents still sleep in the same bed, but don't talk that much to each other anymore. As much as he wanted to fix their relationship, he knows that his mom will always have a cold response and Yesung will always say, "I have to take care of my turtles. There are 15 of them, you know." [A/N: 15 turtles, 15 members of Super Junior. xD]
"Just let him be. His turtles are what make him happy." Ryeowook frigidly answered. Silence filled the living room, until Sungmin decided to ask, "Uhmm, Aunt Ryeowook, what time is your flight now?" Kyuhyun was afraid that she might say something unwise to Sungmin. Whenever Sungmin would ask her a question, she would either ignore it or respond with an "I don't know", "Try guessing", "Ask Kyuhyun", and a whole lot more. He was surprised when she answered with a calm tone, "Our flight is at 1 PM, which gives you, Kyuhyun dear, more time to prepare."
Kyuhyun was busy preparing his things with the help of Sungmin in their bedroom. Ryeowook, on the other hand, was busy wandering around in the other rooms. "Hmm, even she looks ugly in pictures." Ryeowook then grabbed a picture frame and faced it down. She kept wondering around the house and found something that she needed. "This will help with my plan" Ryeowook thought to herself. After a few minutes, the couple came out of their bedroom and Kyuhyun said, "Mom, I'm ready to go." "Just in time. We still have 2 hours left to check in." Ryeowook then pulled Kyuhyun, which made Sungmin a little uncomfortable, but he quickly pulled his arm. "Mom, please allow me to say goodbye to Sungmin." "Fine, I'll give you a minute." "Mom!" "Aish! Two minutes, now go!"
"Minnie, I have to go now. You take care of yourself, okay?" Kyuhyun then hugged Sungmin. "You take care of yourself, too, Kyu. And please, talk to her about coming home on Christmas eve or on Christmas day. I need you here, especially on the 25th." She then cupped Kyuhyun's face and they kissed sweetly and passionately, which Ryeowook saw and made her feel insecure. The kiss she shares with Yesung is either only a peck or a kiss on the cheeks before they leave for work. "That's enough, Kyuhyun! We're going to be late." She then pulled Kyuhyun away and they left. Sungmin felt sad, because they weren't able to say goodbye to each other properly. "If only she didn't go with him" Sungmin thought to herself. Sungmin was about to close the door when it was suddenly stopped by Kyuhyun. "I won't leave without saying I love you." Sungmin smiled and said, "I love you too, baby." They shared another kiss then Kyuhyun left but shouted another "I love you" before entering the elevator, which made Sungmin feel contented.
Kyuhyun and Ryeowook safely arrived in Singapore. They were in the hotel already and Kyuhyun was about to call Sungmin when his mom pulled his cellphone away. He was about to shout at Ryeowook, but she told him, "You just said your goodbyes to each other! I'm here, I'm your mother, you should be talking to me!" which made Kyuhyun's body tremble because of anger. "Mom! Th-" Ryeowook cut her off and told him, "Kim Kyuhyun! Shout at me one more time and I won't return this to you tonight."
Meanwhile, in South Korea, Sungmin was worried on why Kyuhyun wasn't calling her. "She must've blackmailed her son again. If she weren't that cold, I'm sure Uncle Yesung would still be affectionate to her and not to his turtles" she thought to herself. She was about to cook dinner she heard someone unlocking the door. Quickly, she hid behind the door with an umbrella in her hand. When the door opened, she hit the person who came in. She took a look at the person, but didn't notice that there was another one behind her. Sungmin felt something hit her head and everything became black.
