It has been 5 months since Sunkyu died, but the investigation is taking too long and Mr. and Mrs. Lee are starting to get worried that the case might never be solved. They know that everything takes time, especially when it comes to cases like this, but their patience is already starting to wear out.
Taemin is also starting to speculate that something is going on between Kyuhyun and Sungmin, seeing as the former would always call their house and ask for the latter and whenever they would talk on the phone, he could see the huge grin and the blush on his older sister's face.
What annoys him is that when he told Kyuhyun to move on, he didn't mean get it on with his ex-girlfriend's twin sister, his sister.
As for Kyuhyun, he started to visit the Lees house again. He would still ask Mr. and Mrs. Lee about the investigation, but it was really Sungmin whom he was looking forward to see as he volunteered to drive her and go together to their university, instead of having her commute.
However, the thought of Sunkyu's dead figure looking at them stopped him from going upstairs to Sungmin's room, seeing as it was only across the former's room. That's why he would just wait for her in the living room, ignoring Taemin's questioning looks.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee were okay with Kyuhyun bringing Sungmin to school and back home. They only saw their relationship as really close friends, nothing more, but for Taemin, he couldn't help but think that the two were already together. "How can they do this to Sunkyu noona?" He would always wonder.

At their university, everyone was also wondering the same thing as Taemin. "How could Kyuhyun move on that fast?", "How could Sungmin be such a bitch? Stealing his dead twin sister's boyfriend" would always be the questions floating around their minds.
When the rumored couple would be spotted walking together, everyone would shut their mouths and just look at them as if they were the most horrible persons who walked on this planet, but the two would just ignore it.
Deep down, Kyuhyun and Sungmin knew that things were going to become more complicated if they were to start dating, even though they haven't confessed their feelings yet to each other.
They heard about the rumors going around their university from their best friends, Donghae and Eunhyuk, but they pretended that they didn't mind, even though it was bothering them to no end.
"Are you okay?" Kyuhyun asked while they were having lunch. "You haven't touched your food ever since we sat here" He added and caressed Sungmin's back. The girl nodded, but he wasn't that stupid to believe she was, because her facial expression was different. "Come on. Let's go somewhere else."
Kyuhyun brought Sungmin to their university's rooftop garden and they sat in a bench surrounded by red and white roses. As soon as they were seated, the latter began to cry. "This is so frustrating" Sungmin said, annoyance evident in her tone.
"I'm sorry. It's my fault that rumors about us are going around. I'm really sorry" Kyuhyun said as he patted her back. As much as he wanted their friendship to turn into something more despite the consequences, he thinks that he's already starting to become a burden to her.
"No, it's not your fault. I want to be happy... I want to be with you... but fate is just so cruel to me" Sungmin blurted out and cried harder. Kyuhyun was taken aback with what the former said and looked at her with his big brown eyes.
When Sungmin noticed that he wasn't moving, she moved closer and cupped his cheeks. "Don't you get it, Cho Kyuhyun? I love you. I've always loved you. I've loved you since high school. I love you so much" She confessed despite hiccuping from crying too hard, eyes never looking away from his and she moved closer and sealed the distance between their lips.
The kiss was gentle and sweet. It took Kyuhyun a few seconds to comprise everything; from what Sungmin said up to the kiss they were sharing right now. He smiled and kissed back as soon as he understood everything. When the latter was about to pull back, he held her waist and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss.
As soon as they pulled apart, Sungmin could only look at him with her big doe eyes, wondering why the kiss got deeper, but before she could even ask, Kyuhyun spoke ahead of her. "I love you too, Lee Sungmin. I'm sorry I only realized it when we accidentally kissed and became closer. You're the right one for me, Min. I love you. I love you. I love you" He said and pecked her lips.
Sungmin couldn't believe what she just heard and remained immovable in her place. Kyuhyun pecked her lips again and that's when she got back to her senses. "Are you serious? Really? What? No way. Aish! Gos-" Before she could continue her whining, he kissed her again and they both smiled into the kiss.
"I never knew you were so talkative" Kyuhyun laughed and got a slight punch from her on the chest. "I love you and I mean it, Sungmin" He added as he pulled her into a hug.
"I love you too, Kyuhyun" Sungmin smiled as she tightened the hug.
"Ms. Lee, I was wondering... This might sound old school but... Can I court you?" Kyuhyun asked as he broke the hug. Sungmin couldn't help but smile and look down to hide her blush. "I know it's not gonna be easy, but I'll stay by your side, no matter what happens" He added as he cupped her cheeks and smiled at her.
"I'm gonna follow my heart and stay by your side as well. Yes, you can" Sungmin replied and giggled. She could see the love and care Kyuhyun had for her when she looked into his eyes and the latter could see the same as well in hers.
They knew the risk they were taking and both were well aware of what was ahead of them, but they didn't mind. They had each other and that was all that mattered.

"Don't ever think that I didn't love you, because I did, and even though I'm already in love with your twin sister, I still care and I'm still waiting for the day that the case will be solved. I'm still waiting for my chance at making the bastard that killed you suffer." The wind was blowing not that hard and they could feel that Sunkyu was listening, that she was with them.
"For now, I'm asking permission from you if I can date Sungmin. I know how much you love her. I promise I'll take care of her and love her with all my heart. I know the consequences we'll be facing as soon as we become a couple, but I'll protect her and stay with her no matter what." Kyuhyun felt something cold on his back, it was more of a pat and he understood that it was a "yes" from Sunkyu. "Thank you." He said as he smiled.
The whole time Kyuhyun was speaking, Sungmin was listening closely and different emotions flowed through her body. She missed her twin sister, but at the same time, she felt bad for being so jealous of her and the former.

The investigation is still not over, but when the time comes that it is solved, I'm gonna make that murderer of yours suffer as well. It's the only thing I can do for you, so justice can be served." Sungmin felt her right hand becoming cold, like Sunkyu was holding it and telling her she was listening.
"I never wanted this to happen, unnie. I admit, I was jealous of you and Kyuhyun oppa, but I never wanted you gone. I love you and it's not the same without you." Sungmin started to tear up and she could feel Kyuhyun tightening his hold on her hand.
Even though he was supposed to be surprised that Sungmin was jealous of him and Sunkyu before, Kyuhyun just ignored it and comforted the former. Sungmin already told him yesterday that she loved him ever since high school, so it shouldn't be shocking to him anymore.
"Unnie, I don't know when I'll say "yes" to Kyuhyun oppa, but when the time comes, please help us when others find out about it.
