SUNGMIN'S POV
"Sungmin! What did you do to yourself?!" Oh, Uncle Han Geng's here? I wonder how he got in, I'm sure I locked the door.
"Uncle, what are you doing here?" I ask him as he brings me to the couch to take care of my bleeding wrist. He got the emergency kit from my desk and started putting medicine on the bruise. "Ah.. It hurts.."
"Aish, why did you even hurt yourself in the first place?!" Uncle Han Geng is from China and is a really nice man. He is calm, caring and very loving just like.. Kyuhyun. Just by saying his name in my mind, it hurts so much more.
"I don't know.. I'm sorry, uncle, but it just hurts so much.." I replied and started crying. I don't care if he will get mad at me for being like this after the wrong I've done, but I just want to let it out.
"Sorry for what? What hurts, Sungmin?" Wait, he doesn't know? I don't understand. I'm sure he's aware of what happened, Aunt Heechul must've informed him somehow. Or maybe he just came back from China. I stare at him in the eyes with confusion written all over my face.
"Did I miss something? I just got back from China because I went there to visit my parents" He says to me. Oh, so that's why. Uncle has always been so nice to me, maybe it wouldn't hurt to tell him what just happened.
"Uncle.. You know that Kyuhyun and Seohyun are dating.. but Kyuhyun and I got together 3 months ago but kept it as a secret.." He was shocked with what I said, but because he wasn't answering, I decided to continue. "When Auntie and my family found out.. they.. they.. they forced me to.. break up with him" I said the last phrase in a whisper and started crying again. I expected him to get mad, but I was surprised that he didn't. Instead, he just hugged me and wiped my tears.
"I'm sorry for what my wife did.. I'm sorry if I can't do anything, you know I just love her so much" He said to me. "But did you and Kyuhyun love each other very much?" Tears continued pouring from my eyes as Uncle Han Geng asked me.
"Yes.. So much that it hurts not being with him anymore.. And what's worse is that he thinks I don't love him anymore, but I only said that because I didn't want to cause anymore commotions" I say to him with a weak voice.
"I was right then.." What does he mean? I'm getting confused again. "The way Kyuhyun looks at you is so different from how he looks at Seohyun. When he looks at you, I can feel that he's happy, but when he looks at your sister, all I can feel is coldness" He clarifies and hugs me again to comfort me. "I'm really sorry, Sungmin" If only everyone would just be like Uncle Han Geng, then everything would be alright.
"Uncle, how did you get in here, by the way?" I asked him as we pulled apart. I wanted to change the subject now, and that was the only thing I could think of since I was still wondering how he got inside even though the door was locked.
"I decided to drop by after my trip to China, but since the room was locked, I borrowed the key from the guard" He says to me with a smile.
I was about to speak again, when Kyuhyun suddenly entered the room. "Appa, you're back" He says as he approaches the couch. Before he could even sit down, my bruise already caught his eye and he sat between me and uncle as he holds my right wrist. "Sungmin.." Before he could even continue, I pulled my wrist and went out of the office. I don't want to cry in front of him.
NO ONE'S POV
"Kyuhyun ah, she accidentally cut her wrist, but I already took care of it" Han Geng lied to his son.
Kyuhyun just smiled at his father, but he still couldn't stop worrying about Sungmin. Even though she was the one who decided to end their relationship, he still loves her so much that even though he's with Seohyun, he would pretend that she's Sungmin.
Han Geng could see how Kyuhyun was longing for Sungmin that it made his heart hurt to see his son and Sungmin both in pain because they can't be together.
When Kyuhyun and Han Geng got home that night, Han Geng went directly to his and Heechul's room. Heechul got up from their bed and was about to hug him when Han Geng swatted her hand away.
"Heechul! Why did you break them up?" Han Geng shouted at her. Han Geng really didn't want to do it, but seeing how Kyuhyun looked a while ago after Sungmin went out of the room was what initiated him to confront his wife.
"How dare you shout at me like that after being away for a long time! How did you know anyway?" Heechul covered her mouth. She had no plans on telling Han Geng what she knew and what she did to the two, since she knows that he would do anything for their son's happiness.
"Sungmin told me! I dropped by when I arrived from the airport" Han Geng was now glaring at her.
"I should've known, but the reason why I did that is because Kyuhyun belongs to Seohyun!" Heechul glared back.
"Did you even think of Kyuhyun's happiness?! Kyuhyun doesn't love Seohyun" Han Geng responded. "Kyuhyun and Sungmin love each other and I'll do whatever it takes to get them back together" He added.
"I want Seohyun for Kyuhyun. If you get in the way, I will divorce you" Heechul went back to their bed. Han Geng never thought that she would say that, but knowing how Heechul would do whatever she says, he didn't fight back and just lied down on the couch in their room.
SUNGMIN'S POV
When I got home from work, I could still remember how Kyuhyun held my wrist. I've missed his hold, but since he's not mine anymore, I better stop making such a big deal out of it. I'm already thinking of ways on how to move on, and I guess I should think faster.
I'm going away, but I'll be back soon.
