I ran away from the Cho residence as fast as I could, tears falling freely from my eyes. I was in pain, so much pain. My heart hasn't even started healing yet and auntie just had to announce that. Does life really hate me that much? I don't know how long I've been running, but I decided to take the route back to the mall.
I entered the back door and headed towards the office. When I turned on the lights, I was surprised to see him there, sitting on the couch, crying while holding.. one of our photos. "W-what are y-you doing h-here?" I was still crying, but I managed to speak.
"Sungmin.." He stands up from the couch and started walking towards me. I didn't move from where I was standing, instead, I just looked down. When he was finally near me, he hugged me, but I didn't pull away. I wanted to be in his arms for the last time. Maybe this is the right time to say goodbye, the right time to end things right. "Please, take me away. It's you I want to marry.. You're the one I love."
I cried more as those words came out of his mouth. I couldn't take it anymore, I put down my pride and finally hugged him back. "Kyuhyun ah.. I can't.. I'm sorry.." As much as I want to take him with me, I just couldn't. After all, he is the reason why I'm leaving, right? Plus, I have already caused so much trouble back at the Cho residence, and if they catch us here, I don't know the horrible things that might happen, especially to me.
He breaks the hug and looks at me with teary eyes. "Please.. I love you.." I didn't know what to say. I know I owe him a big explanation, but now is not the right time for it, and I think there won't ever be a right time to say it.
"I love you.. I still do.. But I have to go.." I say to him. He needs to know before I leave, because I know I'll never be able to say those words again. My body controlled me as I cup his face and brought it close to mine until our lips finally touched. I gave him a long, sweet and gentle kiss, wanting to cherish the moment. "Take care" I say to him as I pulled away and left the room, leaving him forever. I ran again, because if I walked, I just might turn back.
When I was out of the mall, I hailed a cab and headed for home. When I got home, I told the cab to wait for me for a moment. I was lucky that my family wasn't still home. I went straight to my room and packed my things. I brought everything I needed, but left the things that will remind me of Cho Kyuhyun.
I ran downstairs, luggages in hand and a sling bag on my shoulders and headed outside. The cab driver helped me put the luggages in the cab's compartment and we headed to the airport. I know I'm too early for my flight, but if I waited for them to get home, hell might just break loose because of what I did during dinner at the Cho's. I don't even know how Kyuhyun found out I was heading for the mall, and I'm really curious on how he left his family, future-in-laws and ugh, fiance, at the dinner table.
When I got to the airport, the cab driver helped me pull out my luggages. After that, I payed him and thanked him then went inside the airport. When I was done checking-in, I got inside the waiting area and sat down on a couch. My flight was still at 8:00 AM, but it's only 2:00 AM, so I decided to sleep for a while.
After a few hours, I woke up with just an hour away from my flight. I decided to have breakfast first at one of the fast food chains in the area. After eating, just in time, it was finally boarding time. After giving my ticket to the steward, I proceeded to my seat. It was time to say goodbye to the complicated life I used to have, it's time to move on and start a new.
Finally, after hours of sitting in the plane, we finally landed in Singapore. When I finally got my luggages, I went outside to look for a taxi. When I finally got one, we headed to the apartment that the plane ticketing agent suggested. It wasn't a big apartment, but it was just right for me.
I finally arrived at my new apartment. As I went inside, all I could feel was happiness, because I'm finally free from all the pain, though I'm still taking my time with moving on, but at least no one would be able to control my life anymore.
After paying the landlady and settling in, I decided to go to a nearby mall to buy some furniture. It was a good thing I brought all of my savings, but I still have to budget everything because I still don't have a job. As I was going around, I was surprised when someone called my name.
"Sungmin? Is that you?"
