It's amazing the things you miss when abroad. What strikes me most at this particular moment is that I miss walking the streets of my home and day dreaming myself into my past. It's sad, but it had always let me keep the things that first allowed me to feel what love was close to my heart. Unfortunately none of those memories had to do with me

Try to keep them untorn while you build tolerance and callous -
keep appreciation for your feet. No matter what shoes you wear
it is they who run and they who keep you moving forward.
Maybe after they're tough enough to walk on their own you will
find a good pair of shoes, but usually not before.
