Okay, so the first thing is, Dennis, can I ask for your help again?  I have a friend who's getting married to a fantasy novelist who I've never met (they've been dating for all of three months).  Because I'm close with her fiance, I got invited to a wedding shower, but I don't know her and she hasn't registered for anything.  To make it even more
