After repeatedly glazing my eyeballs at Newegg.ca...
...I've managed to /just about/ settle on this setup here. I'm not even going to bother cringing at the price - this is a five year investment to last me through school, and unlike a car that I don't currently have any crippling need for, doesn't require regular expensive maintainance, gasoline, insurance risk, and etc.

Nggg, the /video card/ is more expensive than the /processor/. How did I not see that? That is obscene.
Especially since I'm not any kind of gamer, nor do I intend to be beyond cool stuff like Cave Story (which does not need TurboL33t16GB stuff).
As for the drives, I've got thoughts of using the 10000RPM as a boot drive, but I've got to look at that more, and also find a less expensive one.
