With a list of instructions, they'd managed to spring Danny from the hospital. The doctor had been adamantly against it at first. Steve assured him every precaution would be observed. Adamantly opposed transformed into a healthy dose of dubiousness. With Steve in pain himself and favoring the shoulder, the doc wasn't sure it was do-able. Then

Danny bitched and moaned after they got him out of the hospital, he wanted to just be dropped by at his place, tho to be honest he realized that he needed constant supervision, his body was aching and his leg was throbbing with pain. He accepted going to Steve's place eventually and when they got there and got him settled in the guestroom he stopped fighting the sleep falling into a deep one.

Steve had a brief conversation with Chin, catching up on what he'd missed. Then learning that Danny was still asleep, he wandered into the kitchen for coffee. There wasn't any it turned out. So he settled for tea. With it in hand, he sank into the chair Chin just recently vacated.

Danny woke up a couple of hours later, he stood up wincing when his leg protested the movement but ignored it. Using his cane he managed to shuffle to the bathroom.

Steve had stepped out for more tea. When he came back to an empty room, all his senses instantaneously went on high alert. Then he heard movement in the bathroom. He breathed out a sigh of relief.

"You alright?" he called through the closed door.
