Hi Imah! Did you know that the only reason my floors ever get cleaned (parental visits included) is shabbat?

Shavuah tov, and happy clean table (for now)!

Who was it that said something about Shabbat saving the Jews? My mother, AH, used to clean the house when guests were coming, and she told me that my Bobbie used to clean when "her ladies" were coming. So. Now when the Shabbat Queen comes, how much more so do we continue in the tradition of our foremothers.

But isn't it amazing haw now just 16 hour after Shabbat ended the dining room table is full. But it is full of different stuff, and as long as I really put away/throw out/give away the contents of the pre-shabbat table I am ahead of the game.

But isn't Shabbat great. You'd never rush around and get the place clean for yourself (unless you were a person bothered to the depths of your soul by clutter). But because we were commanded to do it we get the reward for doing it and the reward of enjoying it, and that's another mitzvah. Great!

Lots of love.
