I just had to post a good morning message. It's now 7:25 and I got out of bed at 6:45 to see *snow*. Not too much to make it hard going, but just enough mixed in with a light rain to be pretty and to fall outside my window. Yesterday I went for the first long walk in over a month, and picked up some beautiful fall leaves and pressed them between

The little girls were still asleep, so they missed it. But there will be more snow for them to see later.

The less snow we have to walk the girls through, the better.

Let the snow hold off for a few years, until they're old enough to remember it. Like say, when they're five or six years old.

In Tishrei the snow is pretty and transitory. The snow on the succah porch recalled my remembrance of Rabbi Shapiro saying that school would never be cancelled because of snow on Succot. It wouldn't snow that much on succot, he said, I think. It was the first year either you or Becky was at Maimo.

Right now, the woodpeckers have started to tap out a very fast code. We have at least two woodpeckers.

Snow all gone. sun out. I look forward to playing with the girls in the snow.

I think of you often when I walk or enjoy the fall weather. I'll try to send mindful pleasures your way, and have you in mind for the simcha. Perhaps one day you'll have an engagement here for work that lets you enjoy the weather. I think it keeps us sticking around despite the winter weather. Love to all.
