Don't let them dry out when you pot them, and they should root just fine. Dissolving an aspirin in the water when you water them will help - salicylic acid promotes rooting. Don't drown them, but keep them damp.

I don't know if you'll need to let them stay in the water until they start forming actual rootlets, though.

Well, they haven't done much in the water, so I'm potting them today. *Crosses fingers*
