Samus kit is finally done!
And so I thought I'd return and do a 'as it happened' special as part of my Saturday Project series that has since gone kinda defunct...
Here we roll!
She came in parts...
It took a fair amount and cutting and sanding to get the kit together - and that's before I even started painting! Remember when I posted this?
Well, she was like so:
That was great for a test fit! You know, to make sure that the parts worked together!
After which, I disassembled her and primed the parts!
Then! Finally I started painting!!!
Orange bits- painted silver and then coated with clear orange! MANY coats of clear orange..
I also painted the yellow bits and the joints with me airbrush! Yellow is using the yellow lambo paints I got from hiroboy.co.uk! 8D
In sunlight you can actually see the pearlescent-ness of the yellow! It's quite awesome! :D I love this paint!
I'm so happy with how the red's turned out! 8D
And then...
ASSEMBLED:
...except I hadn't done the little green bits on her chest...
Also, the clear green bits are SO FRAGILE! I broke her visor once - and lucky me - I had a spare cause I bought multiple kits!
but jeez! Not a a good thing to happen!!! ;_;
But finally...
The bit I'm most happy about - something I'd planned from (near) the start...
I painted the clear green parts with fluorescent green paint for a special reason...
HELLZ YEAH
What ya'll think? 8D
