I just got roped into being a scav hunt object by some of my friends. I've got a paper, so they were going to get the other remaining roommate to do it, but she was sleeping and recovering from turning in her honors thesis, so I thought it would be unnecessarily cruel to make her do it. Anyway, they were going to get bonus points if they got a friend to come in wearing a Kenyon shirt and/or a toga, and even more points if the friend were a professor.

I read this as "a Kenyon shirt AND a toga," and was considerably more amused. Alas. ^_^

Well, I wore a Kenyon shirt, and then one of my roommates draped her hoodie on me in a vaguely toga-ish way.

P.S. I test-drove the music comps exam today. It was entertaining, given that none of us studied. The last question involved a score example that was probably John Cage (it involved very specific directions, and the score tended to telescope in and out). They asked, "If you had time, how would you analyze this piece, and why?"
I wrote, "I don't think I would. It seems like it would be an exercise in futility."

I feel bad for the kids who'll have to answer these questions without any jokes, after four years in the music department. It's so drilled into my head that exam = vehicle for viola jokes.
