Things are looking up. I bought a pretty, colorful scarf last week after my voice lesson, so I can finally feel properly Parisian and stylish. Went to the Mariott Marquis with the usual intention of riding the elevators . . . and. They've replaced the individual call buttons for the elevators with plates instructing you to input your floor into this one touchpad, which assigns you to an elevator that will take you to that floor.
