Grandpa was brought home with hospice last evening. He seemed to rest much better at home. He was up several times during the night and early morning hours. At some point this morning after he was settled into his favorite chair to rest, he has slipped into a nonresponsive state. As of this morning, it was determined that the breathing treatments that my grandfather was on were doing no good. The blood gasses had changed so little with the treatments that it was decided to cease the treatments and discharge him to hospice where he can go home and be at peace with his cat and dog before he goes.
