We Belong Together
“Babe, I’m sorry.” Junsu begins while he is driving to their school.
Ki didn’t say anything but looks out through the window. “I don’t really want to hear about it.”
Junsu heaves a sigh. “Can we start all over?”
“Junsu, please…” Ki is trying her best to not cry in front him. It is too painful to remember the past. “Let’s forget everything.”
“Mianhae, Ki.” He softly says. “I just want to tell you that I still love you. I will always love you forever and ever.”
Slowly tears cascade onto her cheeks. She wants to tell him how much she still loves him too. However, she cannot let go. She doesn’t want to be hurt once again. ‘Please let’s forget our memories.’
~Flashback~
It all begin when they were in Shin High School, it is a private high school. That is where they all met each other.
“Oppa…!” Ki shouts as she spotted him with his friends by his locker.
“Oh, dongsaeng…!” Jaejoong turns around to see his sister approaching him.
“Who are they?” She points at the four teenage boys.
“My friends…” Jaejoong smiles at his sister. “This is Jung Yunho. He is just a couple months younger than I am. Then this is Park Yoochun. He is a year younger. That’s Kim Junsu. He is the second youngest. Then the maknae is Shim Changmin.” He introduces them to her.
“Hi.” Ki bows to them.
“Guys, this is my baby sister, Kim Ki.” Jaejoong introduces them to her.
“Hey, dongsaeng.” Yunho gives her smile.
“Hey, sweet thing.” Yoochun smirks.
“Hi.” Junsu blushes.
“Annyeonghaseyo.” Changmin greets her.
“Nice to meet you guys.” Ki says. “Oppa, will you be going to home today?” She asks.
Usually, Jaejoong doesn’t go home with her because he is the school’s class president. Therefore, he has to stay after school for meetings and so on.
“Um…” He thinks about it for a while. “No. I actually have to be somewhere.”
“Oh okay.” Ki nods her head. She doesn’t want to question her brother because she knows how busy he is by being the school’s class president. “Mr. Bae is already here to pick me up. I’ll be going then.”
“We’ll walk you.” Jaejoong suggested. “I want to talk to Mr. Bae about something.”
“Araso.” Ki nods her head and follows her brother.
A week later…
“Hey, oppas.” Ki greeted them.
“Hi, dongsaeng.” Yunho smiles.
“Hey, sexy.” Yoochun grins.
“Hi.” Junsu blushes.
“What’s up?” Changmin is eating his lunch.
“Where’s Jae oppa?” Ki asks when she noticed that her brother isn’t around.
“With a girl.” Yunho simply replies.
“Ah!” Ki nods her head. “So, do you guys have any girlfriends or crushes?”
“Nope.” Yunho shakes his head.
“Yeah.” Yoochun smirks. “Wanna be mine?”
“N-no.” Junsu stutters.
“Food!” Changmin shouts. “IS MY GIRLFRIEND!”
Ki laughs out loud once she heard Changmin’s respond. “Very funny, Min oppa.”
“Min?” Changmin asks.
“Yeah, it is your nickname.” Ki explains. “It was that or Minnie.”
“HEY!” Changmin pouted. “I’m not a girl.”
“That’s what I thought.”
“Do you have nickname for us too?” Yunho asks in curiosity.
Ki nods her head. “Yours is Yun oppa. Yoochun oppa is Chun oppa. Then Junsu oppa is Su oppa.”
“Nice.” Yunho nods his head, liking his nickname. “What should we call you?” He asks while thinking about it.
“Ki is fine.”
“No, you gave us nicknames. We should do the same for you.”
“Okay.”
“Hmm… How about I call you, princess?” Yunho asks.
Ki shrugs her shoulders. She doesn’t really care because she is used to all of those nicknames since her parents would use them on her.
“I’ll stick with sexy.” Yoochun nods his head. “Yup, Sexy Ki.”
Ki just heaves a sigh, knowing him as the biggest flirt. “Then I’ll call you, Chun appa.”
“Ewe… Why would I flirt with my daughter?”
“Exactly!” Ki smirks. “If I call you appa, would you still call me that?”
“Umm…” He thought about it for a while. “Let me think this through.”
Ki sighs as she shakes her head. “Whatever.”
“I’ll call you Blue Bear.” Junsu blushes as he gives her a smile.
“Blue Bear?” Everyone looks at him oddly. “Why?”
“She loves the color blue.” He reasoned. “And I’m guessing bears also since her backpack is a bear and her folders are bears.”
“Oh…” Ki nods her head. “Then I’ll call you dolphin.” Ki grins.
“Hey!” Junsu pouts.
‘AH! So cute! He just pouted!’ Ki thought to herself.
‘She’s so cute.’ Junsu thought to himself.
“Hmm…” Changmin thought for a while. “I don’t have any.”
Ki laughs. “Good. I don’t want to be called anything that is related with food.”
“Hey.” Changmin also pouts.
Ki laughs. “What? I’m just stating the truth, food monster.”
“Whatever.” Changmin rolls his eyes and continues to stuff his food into his mouth.
“Yo, guys!” They heard another voice behind them.
“Jae oppa!” Ki smiles. “Who’s that?” She points at the girl.
“Guys, I want you to meet my girlfriend, Kwon Hanna.” He introduced them to his girlfriend. “Hanna, this is my sister, Ki. And those are my idiot friends.”
“HEY!” His friends shout out at him.
“I’m just joking.” He puts on up a peace sign.
His friends roll their eyes. “Sure, sure.”
“Anyways, the name is Jung Yunho.” Yunho introduces himself.
“Park Yoochun.” Yoochun glares at Jaejoong.
“WHOA!” Ki shouts. “THAT’S A FIRST, APPA!”
“Appa?” Jaejoong asks.
Ki nods her head. “Yeah, he keeps on flirting with me. So I told him that if he keeps on flirting with me, I’ll call him, appa.”
Jaejoong laughs. “Nice, sis!”
“I know right.”
“But I didn’t agree it that yet, babe.” Yoochun smirks.
“Oh, I know you will.” Ki grins back. ‘I’ll make sure that you will.’
“Anyways, my name is Shim Changmin.” Changmin says.
“Also known as the food monster.” Ki adds in.
“Hey!”
“Or do want me to call you, Minnie.” Ki grins.
“HELL NO!”
“Then.”
Changmin groans. “You’re such a meanie! And I’m supposed to be your oppa.”
Ki sticks out her tongue at him. “Don’t care. You don’t even act like an oppa.”
“Kim Junsu is my name.” Junsu begins to introduce to himself to the new member of the group.
“Whoa!” His friends shout. “That’s a first!”
“What?” Junsu blinks in confusion.
“You didn’t blush.” Ki points out.
“Oh.” Junsu smiles. “So?”
“When we always greet each other…” Ki realizes something and blushes. “Oh…”
“She’s the dumbest person that I ever met.” Changmin mumbles.
“Yah!” Ki shouts at him. “I’m not dumb!”
Hanna laughs out loud. “You guys are funny.”
“Why, thank you.” Changmin smiles back at her.
“Bipolar.” Ki mumbles.
“Yah!” Changmin shouts as he heard her. “Respect your elders.”
“Act like one first then I’ll respect you.”
“Hyung, do something about this manic.”
“Yah! I’m not a manic, you… You ASSHOLE!”
“Dongsaeng, I think that’s enough.” Jaejoong looks at her disapprovingly.
Ki pouts. “He started.”
“I know, I know.”
“Anyways, welcome to the family, Han!” Ki immediately smiles.
Hanna smiles back. ‘She’s an interesting person.’
“Who’s bipolar now?” Changmin smirks.
“Oh, it is okay if I call you Han right?” Ki asks, ignoring him.
Hanna nods her head. “Yeah, you can.”
“Yay!” Ki shouts in happiness. “I’ve made a friend!”
“Yah! I was talking to you!” Changmin shouts at her.
“Now I won’t be lonely anymore. It sucks to be the only girl in the group.” Ki is still ignoring him.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. You’re not a girl.” Changmin remarks. “You’re a she-he!”
“Yah!” Ki glares at him. “I dare you to repeat what you said.”
“She-he!”
“Don’t you mean to say that she is a tomboy?” Yunho asks.
“Nope.” Changmin grins. “I meant she-he.”
“Okay.” They all look at him weirdly.
“Anyways…” Ki says.
Then the rest of their lunch time, they get to know each other more. They also went to the Ki and Jaejoong’s mansion to continue to hang out more.
A month later…
“Can I talk to you ALONE?” Junsu shyly asks.
Ki nods her head. “Sure.”
“Hey, you cannot take her away from me!” Yoochun teases.
Ki rolls her eyes. “Leave me alone, APPA!”
Yoochun shakes his head. “No.”
Ki just ignores him and drags Junsu away from the group.
They walk to the school’s garden, where there is barely anyone there.
“So?” Ki asks.
“Uh…” Junsu got nervous all of a sudden. “I-I…”
“Hmm…”
‘C’mon, you can do this. Be a man!’ He thought to himself. ‘Alright, here goes nothing.’ He takes a deep big breathe and shouts, “I think I’m falling in love with you!”
Ki giggles and smiles. “I like you too.”
“You do?” Junsu exhales his breathe.
She nods her head.
“Really?” He does not believe that his dream might come true.
“Yeah, I like everyone else too.” Ki wants to tease him. “You’re the best oppa ever.”
Junsu’s jaw drops open in shock. ‘She misunderstood me! Does that mean she doesn’t like me at all?’
“Oppa?”
“No!” He shakes his head. “I don’t mean that kind of like.”
Ki laughs. “Kim Junsu, I am in love with you.”
“Really?”
Ki nods her head and leans in forward to kiss him on the lips. “Now, what do you think? You have my first kiss.”
Junsu smiles and nods his head.
“So, when are you going to pick me up?” Ki asks.
Junsu laughs. “Oh, right. Umm… Tonight at 6pm?”
Ki also laughs and nods her head. “That’s a date.”
“Yup, it’s a date.”
That’s how they first got together. They just start dating each other.
Two weeks later…
“Damn, I’m sad.” Yoochun frowns.
“Why?”
“Because Ki is taken by this lucky dolphin.” He pouted.
“Sucker!” Ki sticks out her tongue.
“Damn… Dolphin, why did you have to confess for?”
“Because I feel like I should make the first move before you snatch her away from me.” Was his reply to his best friend.
“You guys suck.” Yoochun pouts. “Now I’m bored.”
“Go find yourself a girl.” Yunho says.
“I don’t want to.” Yoochun whines. “I want Ki.”
“Too bad.” She sticks out her tongue as she lies down on her boyfriend’s lap.
That day, Yoochun was bored because he couldn’t flirt with his favorite girl because she happens to be taken by his best friend.
A month later…
“Oppa, you’re home?” Ki is surprise to see her brother home on the weekend.
Usually, he would be out with his girlfriend.
Jaejoong didn’t reply back to her. He just looks stares at the television in front of him, hugging a pillow.
“Oppa...” Ki comes to sit beside him.
Tears slowly cascade down to his cheeks, unconsciously.
‘What’s wrong with him? Why is he crying?’ Ki is worried about her brother. “Oppa…”
“Leave me alone.” He finally spoke. However, his voice became crack and husky.
“Oppa, what’s wrong?” Ki asks in concern.
“Ki, just leave me alone. I’m not in the mood.”
Ki heaves a sigh. “Okay. I’ll be going out with Su oppa.”
Jaejoong didn’t say anything but stares at the television.
At her date…
“Oppa…” Ki calls for her boyfriend’s attention.
“Hmm…”
“Do you know what happened to Jae oppa?” She asks with concern in her voice.
Junsu heaves a sigh. “Yeah...”
“What is it?” She immediately asks. “I’m worried for him, oppa. Just earlier, I saw him crying.”
“Crying?” Junsu asks, looking at her with worried expression. ‘He must have really loved her to be that heartbroken.’
Ki nods her head. “Tell me please, oppa.”
“Araso.” Junsu sighs. “We caught her cheating.”
“WHAT!”
“Shh…” Junsu puts his figure on his lips. “Not so loud.” Then he looks around to see if anyone looking. “Yeah, we were coming back from a guys’ night. Jae wanted to visit her for a while. Therefore, we dropped him at her place.”
“I have a feeling that I won’t like this story at all.” She says. “Well, continue. What happened next?”
“Well, when we got there. The door was unlocked which we found it odd.”
“Why?” She asks. “Didn’t you guys call her?”
Junsu shakes his head. “We didn’t. Anyways, when we opened the door…”
“What happened?” Ki interrupts him as she was really anxious to know what’s next.
Junsu heaves a sigh. Then he continues, “We heard noises.”
“Noises? What kind of noises?”
“Well, it leads to her bedroom.”
“Bedroom?” Ki gasps. “NO WAY!”
Junsu nods his head. “Yup, we caught in action with a guy topping her.”
“OH MY GOD!” Ki’s eyes become wide in shock. “That bitch!”
“Yeah, Jae hyung must have felt terrible now.”
“I want to go home now.” Ki is really worried about her brother now. Never in her life, had she seen her brother like that. Therefore, she is super worried and wants to end her date short.
Junsu nods his head. “Araso.”
“Thanks, oppa.” Ki kisses him on the lips. “Thanks for being so understanding.”
“No problem.”
When Ki got home, she comforted her brother. That night, they open up to each other once again. They told each other joke and tease each other, just to forget about that miserable memory.
