-Two days later-
“Wow…” Jaejoong whistles as he opens the door to see YYK in front of his door. “You are here on time.”
YYK rolls their eyes as they yawn.
“Morning, ahjusshi…!” Moonbin, Chanhee, Yoogeun greet him with a smile.
“Awe…” Jaejoong beams at their cute behavior. “Morning, sweeties…” He bends down and gives them a hug.
Yunho pretends to cough. “Can we go in now?”
“Oh… Right…” Jaejoong scratches the back of his head. “Come in.” Then he opens the door wider.
“Appa, the brownies are done!” Seongwoong walks out of the kitchen with his pink hearts apron. His face is smeared with chocolate frosting also.
“Aigoo…” Jaejoong sighs as he sees that his son is a mess. “Honey, you are a mess.”
Seongwoong just stares at his father, not noticing that he has guests.
“Why are you wearing that?” Moonbin points to the apron. “Are you a girl?” Then he laughs with his best friends.
“I’m not a girl!” Seongwoong fights back when he heard him calling him a girl.
“Are too!” Moonbin fights back.
“No, I’m not.” Seongwoong snaps back.
“Then why are you wearing that?” Chanhee questioned while pointing at the apron. “Only girls wear them.”
“No!” Seongwoong is at his limit as he is getting angry at their tease. “Boys can wear it too, right daddy?”
Jaejoong nods his head. “Of course, boys wear aprons too.”
“But ahjusshi, my dad says that those are only for girls.” Moonbin reasons to them.
“Binnie, aprons aren’t just for girls.” Jaejoong explains. “Aprons are useful when it comes to cooking and baking.”
“How?” Yoogeun asks, not understanding how aprons work.
“They help to protect your clothes from getting dirty.” Jaejoong says. “Do you want to help me with baking cupcakes now?”
The three young children nod their head in excitement.
“But I don’t know how to make cupcakes.” Moonbin frowns.
“Yeah, we don’t know how to make cupcakes.” Chanhee joins in.
“We have other people making our foods for us.” Yoogeun adds.
“It is okay.” Jaejoong smiles at them. “I can teach you.”
“Really?” The three young children ask.
Jaejoong nods his head. “Of course.”
“Daddy, when is Hwan and Hun going to come?” Seongwoong asks, licking his figures at is covered with chocolate frosting.
“Come let’s wash your hands before you continue to bake.” Jaejoong holds onto his son’s wrist. “You adults just sit on the couch until the other two are here.”
The three adults just shrug as they make themselves comfortable on the couch and turns on the television.
-In the kitchen-
“Ahjusshi, do we have to wear this?” Moonbin, Chanhee, and Yoogeun ask, tugging onto the aprons.
“Why is it so girly?” Yoogeun asks. “Why do I have to wear the light blue one?”
“Well, do you want to a lavender one?” Chanhee asks, frowning at the color.
“No thanks.” Yoogeun shakes his head.
“What to switch with me then?” Moonbin asks.
“No way!” Yoogeun refuses to switch aprons with him because Moonbin is wearing a yellow apron with Winnie the Pooh on it.
Moonbin pouts as no one wants to switch with him. “Do you have a different one, ahjusshi?” He asks Jaejoong politely.
Jaejoong shakes his head. “I’m sorry, Binnie.” He apologizes. “The others are at my shop. I didn’t have time to bring them home.”
Moonbin pouts. “Fine…”
His two best friends let out a chuckle.
“You know that color suits you very well.” Yoogeun teases his best friend.
“Yah…” Moonbin glares at him.
“Awe… Cheer up, Binnie.” Jaejoong tries to cheer the young boy up. “Your friends are right. It doesn’t look bad on you.”
Moonbin just pouts even more. “But I’m a boy. I cannot be wearing this girly thing.”
Jaejoong just shakes his head. “Binnie, it shouldn’t matter if it is girly or not. There is no law saying that boys cannot wear aprons.”
“But the style is for girls.” Moonbin protests as he cannot believe that he has to wear it himself.
“If you don’t wear it, then I think you should go to the living room and wait with your father.” Jaejoong strictly says.
Moonbin frowns even more. He wanted to help especially he never have the opportunity to do something like this before. Then he heaves a sigh and unwillingly puts on the apron.
Jaejoong smiles at him. “Okay, now everyone has their apron on. Let’s get started.”
“Yay!” Seongwoong cheers as he is happy to bake more goodies with his father.
“First, what kind of cupcakes do you want to bake?” Jaejoong asks the four young children.
“Hmm…” Seongwoong thinks for a bit. “CHOCOLATE!”
“I want vanilla.” Moonbin says.
“I want red velvet cupcake.” Chanhee joins in.
“But I want my cupcake with cream cheese.” Yoogeun pouts when he realizes that everyone is asking for a different kind type of cupcakes.
Jaejoong smiles and says, “Okay, we will do all four.”
“We can?” Chanhee asks like it is impossible to do all four kind of cupcake.
Jaejoong nods his head. “Yup, we can do all four.”
“Daddy, how are we going to do that?” Seongwoong asks his father.
“We will just have to share the tray.” Jaejoong explains. “We will just make the same amount of cupcakes in four different kind.”
The four young children just nod their head.
“Okay. First we need to mix the flour with water.” Jaejoong says as he grabs four different big bowls and a measuring cup. “We are going to put two cups of flour in to the big bowl.”
The four young children nod their head once again.
Seongwoong grabs the measuring cup and scoops the flour into the measuring cup. Then he dumps the flour into the big bowl. Then he scoops another amount of flour into the cup and dumps to the bowl before passing the cup to Moonbin.
Moonbin did the same action as Seongwoong with his bowl. After he is done, he passes it to Chanhee.
Chanhee also did the same thing as Moonbun and Seongwoong. After he is done, he passes it Yoogeun.
When Yoogeun is finishing dumping the last scoop of flour into his bowl, he gives the measuring cup to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong gives the measuring cup back to his son and says, “And now we add the water. We add two and a half of water into the bowl.”
Seongwoong grabs the measuring cup and walks to the sink. He turns on the sink water and pushes the cup to the water to fill it up. Slowly, he goes back to the counter and pours the water into the bowl. Then he goes back to the sink to get more water. After getting the water, he goes back to his bowl and pours the water in. After pouring his last cup of water, he passes the cup to the next child which is Moonbin.
Moonbin did the same action as Seongwoong. After he finishes, he pass the cup to the next child.
Chanhee did the same and passes the cup to Yoogeun.
Once Yoogeun is finishes pouring the water, Jaejoong tells the four young children to slowly stir the flour with the water.
While stirring the dough, Jaejoong also helps the children when he sees that they need help.
When the dough seems to be ready for the next step, Jaejoong helps the children to crack the eggs. “We need to add four eggs.”
Meanwhile…
“Aish… What is taking the other two so long?” Kyuhyun complains as he is getting impatient.
“I know!” Yoochun groans. “We came here just on time, and we still have to wait for the other two.”
“Not to mention, that pretty boy did not bother to call them up.” Yunho gritted his teeth together.
“Hyung, let’s go.” Yoochun and Kyuhyun suggest. “We are wasting our time just being here already.”
“I agree!” Yoochun agrees with his best friend. “I mean I could’ve use this time to go over my documents that I need to revise for Friday’s meeting.”
“I still need to prepare for the meeting that I am expected to take over.” Kyuhyun adds in. “I do not have time for this bullshit.”
“Neither do I!” Yunho joins in. “Let’s go get our kids and leave.” He gets up from the couch.
Yoochun and Kyuhyun also get up from the couch and walk toward the kitchen to see that the three young children are having fun, baking.
“Hyung…” Kyuhyun whispers. “Look…”
“They’re happy.” Yoochun whispers back.
“I haven’t seen him smile and laugh like this in a long time.” Yunho confessed.
“Same here.” His two best friends agree.
“Do we really want to ruin their moment?” Kyuhyun asks.
“They look like they are having a lot of fun there.” Yoochun adds in.
Yunho heaves a sigh. “Let’s go back.”
Yoochun and Kyuhyun nod their head as they do not want to ruin the happiness in the kitchen.
When the three adults are heading back to the couch, the front door burst open with two adults and two young children, panting.
“I’m sorry, we’re late!” Junsu shouts his apologies as he pants for air.
“Eh!” Changmin squeaks. “You’re not Kim Jaejoong!”
The three adults roll their eyes at his reaction.
“Of course, we are not!” Kyuhyun hissed. “Do we look anything like that pretty man?”
“Yah, who called me a pretty man?” Jaejoong shouts as he walks out of the kitchen.
“HE DID!” Changmin and Junsu point their finger at Kyuhyun.
Kyuhyun just rolls his eyes and says, “So what if I did? It is the truth, anyways.”
“Yah, how many times do I have to say to not call me pretty?” Jaejoong hissed. “I AM A FUCKING MAN!”
Yunho rolls his eyes. “You say you ARE a man but a man DOESN’T wear a GIRLY apron like you DO.”
“What’s wrong with my aprons?” He glares back at him. “Is it a sin for a man to love cute things like this?”
“No, but it just show that you are gay.” Yunho replies.
Jaejoong did not fight back as he just keeps glaring at him.
Changmin lets out a nervous laugh. “Oh look at the time. Shouldn’t we start practicing before the day ends?”
“And who fault is that?” Kyuhyun asks, glaring at the man.
“Well sorry.” Changmin rolls his eyes. “Something just came up.”
“Whatever…” Kyuhyun just turns away as he walks back to the living room.
“Seongwoong, call your friends to come to the living room.” Jaejoong says as he stands by the entry of the kitchen. “Hwannie and Hunnie are here.”
“YAY!” Seongwoong excitedly jumps off from his chair and runs toward his best friend and cousin. “Hwannie… Hunnie!” He gives them a big hug. “What took you so long?” He pouts at them.
Inhwan laughs at his cousin’s behavior. “Grandma Susie came to visit me.” He told his cousin.
“Oh…” Seongwoong looks at his father. “Why doesn’t Grandma Ah Jung visit us?” He looks at his father.
Jaejoong sighs and says, “She’s busy.”
Seongwoong nods his head. “What about you, Hunnie?”
“Mommy came to visit me.” Donghun frowns.
“Why are you sad?” Seongwoong asks, not understanding the situation.
“Mommy wants to take me away from daddy, Woongie, Hwanie, Uncle Jae, and Uncle Su.” Donghun softly says.
“Uh…” Changmin tries to change the subject. “I don’t think this is the best time to talk about this.”
“NO!” Seongwoong cries out loud. “HUNNIE CANNOT LEAVE ME! HUNNIE IS GOING TO STAY, RIGHT?” Tears begin to cascade as he realizes that his best friend might leave him here alone.
“HUNNIE, NO LEAVE!” Inhwan also cried as he hugs his best friend. “Hunnie no love Hwannie anymore?”
Donghun shakes his head. “No, Hunnie still love Hwannie. B-but…”
“There is no but!” Seongwoong clings onto his best friend’s left arm. “If you love us, you have to stay with us!”
“B-but…” Donghun tries to hold onto his tears.
Jaejoong looks at his friends for help. “Woongie, let listen to what Hunnie have to say, okay?”
“NO! I DON’T WANT TO LISTEN!” Seongwoong cries as he holds onto his best friend’s arm tighter.
Jaejoong heaves a sigh and turns to face YYK. “I think we should postpone our practice for another day.”
YYK just shrugs. “Whatever…” Then they grab their children, who refuse to leave.
“We don’t want to go yet!” The three children complain.
“Yeah, we still want our cupcakes!” Chanhee struggles to get out of his half-brother’s grip. When he successfully got out of his grip, he runs towards Junsu and hides behind him for protection.
Moonbin grabs onto Jaejoong’s shirt before his father can drag him away.
Before Kyuhyun can do anything to his cousin, Yoogeun runs toward Changmin and hides behind him. “Help me, ahjusshi. I don’t want to go home yet.” He holds onto Changmin’s pants. “I want to stay here with you.” He pleads.
“Me too.” Moonbin and Chanhee both follow their maknae’s action.
Jaejoong nods his head and grabs Moonbin’s hand. “Okay, you can stay.”
“Really?” Moonbin beams in happiness.
Jaejoong nods his head again. “Of course, you can.”
“YAY!” Moonbin cheers.
“But you need to ask your father if you can stay over.” Jaejoong interrupts his happiness.
Immediately, Moonbin frowns when he heard that he needs to ask permission from his father. Then he heaves a sigh. “Dad, can we stay here longer? Please?”
Yunho looks at his son before giving his permission. “Fine...”
“The rest of you should ask for permission also.” Jaejoong instructed.
“Can we?” Chanhee and Yoogeun ask.
Yoochun and Kyuhyun nod their head.
“What’s the point?” Yoochun sighs. “We already wasted most of the day.”
“Yay!” Chanhee and Yoogeun cheer.
“Not trying to interfere or anything…” Kyuhyun said. “But why are your children crying?” He points at the three young children bawling their eyes out.
JJC heave a sigh and say, “Long story.”
“We have time to listen to ahjusshi.” Moonbin smiles at the three adults.
“Aigoo, why do you kids want to know about adult business for?” Changmin teases.
“Because I know that ahjusshi have a kind heart and will tell me everything.” Moonbin cheekily smiles at them.
Jaejoong laughs at him and says, “He is so cute.”
Junsu sighs. “Okay, if you kids want to know, we will tell you.”
“YAY! Story time!” Chanhee shouts as he runs toward the living room and sits on the floor with his best friends.
“Kids.” YYC shake their heads.
Jaejoong laughs. “They are so cute, aren’t they?” He asks his best friend and cousin.
“They sure are.” They agree.
“C’mon, honey.” Jaejoong grabs his son and carries him to the living room. Then he sits on the couch and places his son on his lap.
Junsu did the same thing to his own son.
Changmin also did the same.
