-The Next Day-
“Bye, appa!” The young boy bids his father a farewell. “Have a good day at work.”
The older man smiles at his son and rubs his hair. “Bye, Hun.” Then he bends down to give his son a kiss on the cheek. “Kiss.”
Donghun gives his father a peck on the cheek. “Bye, bye.” Then he runs into the classroom where his classmates wait for him.
The older man just heaves a sigh and walks away from the school’s property.
As he walks along the sidewalk alone since his two best friends are busy with their business, he had to drop the three young children to school by himself.
“Hey…” Another man shouts out for him as he drives by his side. “Want a ride?”
Changmin chooses to ignore the man and continues to walk.
“Yah!” The other man shouts at him. “Didn’t you hear what I said?”
Changmin still ignores him and walks away.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*
The other man presses the horn on his steering wheel.
There are people on streets looking at the two adults, oddly.
Changmin feels embarrass. Therefore, he stops and turns to look at the driver. “What the fuck do you want?”
“Hop in. I’ll give you a ride.” The man said.
“And why should Mr. high-class man give a middle-class man like me a ride?” Changmin asks.
“Just hop in.” He told him.
Changmin looks at him oddly. “Why should I?”
“Do I need to give an explanation?”
“Obviously, Mr. Cho… How would I know if you are plotting something against me?”
“You got a point, but I am offering a ride as a friend. I came to make peace between you and me.” Kyuhyun says. “So, can you just accept this car ride as a friendly ride?”
Changmin rolls his eyes at him. “Your explanation is so lame, but I am going to accept it because I hate being in the center of attention from unwanted people.”
Kyuhyun gives him a smile and unlock the door for him to enter. “So, where are you heading too?”
“To Jae’s bakery.” He replies. “I usually get something there every morning before heading to work. The sugar helps me keep my insanity alive.”
Kyuhyun nods his head. “Maybe I should try something from there too.”
“You should!” Changmin excitedly announces. “I love Jae’s baking, but my favorite pastry is his famous chocolate cake.”
Kyuhyun nods his head. “What else is there that you like?”
“I also like his cookies, cupcakes, bread… mostly everything.” Changmin chuckles as he keeps on listing the pastries.
“Boy, you eat a lot of sweets. Where do you keep all that and still be fit?” Kyuhyun asks.
“I do work out, ya know.” Changmin says. “If you didn’t make a scene earlier, I was enjoying my peaceful walk.”
“Oh…” Kyuhyun felt guilty now. “Mianhae, I thought you needed a ride that’s all.”
“It’s fine… that’s history now.”
Kyuhyun laughs. “What do you like to do on your free time?”
“Well, I don’t really have a free time when I have Hun to take care.” Changmin answered. “But when he is at his friends’ house, I try to find something for me to do.”
“I see…”
“What about you?”
“Me?” Kyuhyun asks. “I barely have free time.”
“Oh, right… I forgot I am talking to a workaholic person.” Changmin laughs.
During the car ride, the two adults were chatting like they are friends. They also tell each other joke. It was a good atmosphere for the two.
