My summer has been sort of similar - I've read so much it's been crazy. For Whom the Bell Tolls is SO slow though..and I'm only willing to give Hemingway one more try before I decide not to like him (The Sun Also Rises better be redeeming).

P.S. I'm moving to the West Coast! LA, to be exact. :D

That's exactly my thinking. I'll give him one more chance. Though I did enjoy it somewhat when I resigned myself to the slow goings.

And P.S. that's awesome! My loyalty to Northern California requires me to not care much for LA, but all of California is beautiful, really and I'm sure you'll love it. Why the move?

Yeah, I've read The Old Man and the Sea (bleh) and A Farewell to Arms (which has probably been my favorite Hemingway so far). If you want to try him again, I suggest the latter.

I actually got a job! It starts mid September. I've been meaning to do a post about my adventures in LA, but I keep procrastinating...

You always articulate your thoughts so well. Your posts never feel like they're just recounting daily events for your own keeping, even when you are. I love.

Thanks. I got pretty bored of the daily recounting thing awhile ago, so now I'm not really sure what I'm doing here anymore.
