Dreads are way better than Jackie's pubey mess of a hairdo.

Haley is such a treasure trove of random, unwelcome knowledge. Just a few minutes ago she came up to me after I walked through the kitchen going on about how incomplete I felt without my dreads anymore. She told me she had some secret information regarding Mrs. Kennedy's and my hair. And now, I will cut this for ranting.

Thanks c: I'm going to keep on trucking. Savor your little baby! They are totally like little plants. Or children. They just keep getting more and more attractive with age, and sadly not many people know that. I think I'm going to make a couple more just to keep around and pet when I need to. I still find myself rolling and twisting clumps of hair where my favourite dreads would be. They totally need to come back.

Bring the dreads back. I was bummed when I caught up to everything and saw you'd already cut them like your family wanted - it was too late to say don't do it then, but you were undeniably happy with them. Bring them back, and this time, if anyone gives you grief, tell 'em to lump it and do what they want with their hair, and leave yours alone. And if they're bald, just tell 'em they're jealous. ;D

Ohhh they're coming back c: And this time they'll be even better than the first! I really did need to get rid of them though. My mum, who is so generously paying my bills and insurance while I'm at school, was going through a rough time and really wasn't fond of them much. She was so surprised and happy when they were brushed out. I really felt I owed it to her for all the nice things she does for me c: But one day they will TOTALLY be coming back!

Aaah, I see. I can completely understand that, then. Well, here's to their return. *grins*

Sounds like someone has a bitter, unsatisfying life... and wants to take it out on everyone! :P

Sjhdslkjdhfldsdjf ohhh my gosh it would've made my day if they had :D I've heard so many horror stories from people who used to work in the kitchens at nice restaurants, and they all say that when people sent food back, the chefs would sometimes spit in it and other nasty stuff. I really hope they did something gross to it, because she totally deserved it! You're so super sweet ;3; <333

Wow. What an Ass. And I thought my mom was bad. But really, our moms are a lot alike. My mom grew up very very very different than the way she lives now, so her outlook on life is a tad different from mine. She wants people to always look their best- prim and pristine and elegant. So I know, like your mom, she wasn't crazy about the hair or anything (and there's a very specific reason for this. Dreads=Reggae, my mom HATES all things reggae-except still drums. me and dad always make fun or her for it). But she never ever outright insults someone EVER like that. I mean maybe to me, but that's a little different. But I know my parents think you're 'weird' but that isn't an insult!! I hope you don't think it is. Believe me, they call me weird and way worse thing all the time. My parents really like you alot and just know that you're different (in a good way) than a lot of people. So to think that Andrew's mother would say all of this stuff behind your back UGH. That is despicable. I never really saw that side to her other ( ... )

Haha! Your mom is a really cool lady c: I don't hold it against her. And for the record, "weird" is an awesome thing to be. I'm holding that title with pride! Dreads aren't exactly the most likable hairstyle in the world, no matter what generation you're from, and I completely understand this. Mrs. Kennedy was the only person who was ever completely rude about the whole thing, and that didn't really swing well in my family. The whole time I was with Andrew, she always seemed a bit dodgey to me :c I never even felt like getting personally close to her. It's unfortunate that she always acts so negative, it probably doesn't even feel that good to her!

Little known fact: dreads actually originated in Scandinavia, but they were popularized and adapted the name "dreadlocks" with the Jamaicans/Rastifari. I didn't even know this until I grew some of my own! I always thought they were rastifarian, too!
