Anyway, god that sucks! I had a similar experience a few days ago.. I came across a picture of an old primary school friend whose acting and has recently been discovered or something, and anyway this picture was of her standing like two down from Chris Pine, and I had a mini heart-attack. Why is it always the people who don't care that meet people we adore. :( :( I must admit I was content for a while to know that ZQ had been three hours away from me... kinda sad. But I feel your pain. Best of luck for next time.

Good idea on the stalking thing, I shall put it on my to do list, after tracking down series 1 of TOS. I'm not particularly enraptured with Chris Pine either, in the end it's all just about Star Trek, lol. And as you said, being a link to Quinto is always a big plus. To be honest I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Zach.. I was introduced to him through Heroes, and Sylar amused me to no end. But I think he's far better in Star Trek.
No, I haven't come across many Aussie trekkies in my travels either. Well, none that frequent the places I do. Bit of a shame really.. us Aussie make such excellent nutters, lol.

lol i felt cheap so i signed up as well. I woke up just then and i'm on my mobile so i totally missed the part where captain oblivious = maggie and was all wtf crazy internet stalker plz go away. And then i was like =D!!! I'm video logging the entire day for my youtube channel so... awesome. Let's try and get similar shifts and crap. You can watch me make an idiot of myself in front of karl urban. (dude, one of my lab demonstrators is cosplaying there. I find this funny.) oh and we can lol@twilight ppl yes? And I also DK about you, but I want the shift that requires me to have sex with Karl Urban, knock him out with a dose of chloroform, go through his phone, get Zach's contact details and be on a plane to LA within the following 24 hours be the most helpful volunteer.
