This is just gorgeous. Your use of imagery is wonderful, you create such intimate, lovely pictures! The pacing is perfect, a slow burn. I'm not gonna lie, though, I'm geeking out over the linguistics lesson because damn that was a clever storytelling device! It just rang true for me, because learning another language can be such an intimate experience, and I haven't seen anyone explore that idea in the ST:XI 'verse yet. So, yay, I'm really happy that your muse returned, and with such force! =)

Slow is always good :D. I love how your story is developing and seeing Spock and Jim interact. Nice change to see a relationship developing at a good pace.
