"Baj!" He sweeps her up into his arms delightedly.

"I missed thee," which would almost be scolding, except she laughs and kisses his cheek.

"I missed you extraordinarily. But you got my letter?" Sagramore's hands are already tangled in her hair.

Laurel smiles her quiet smile when she sees him. "You look well."

"How are you?"

She shrugs, noncomittal. "I've moved back up here to the house."

"Truly? To good end?"

She was just about to go out, to take a short walk. The arrival makes her tremble.

"Elua, I sought high and low for you," she murmurs with a beaming smile.

She's just relieved that he is not illing again.

"What? All that trouble for me?"

[phedre_25]

"Aye, Merciful Kushiel, I'd not seen you in months! Were you gone then?"

"Yes, I took a trip."

When he finally makes it inside, with or without Molly in tow, he will find Courfeyrac sitting in his room, toes to the fire. (Courfeyrac is only marginally more cold-resistant than Mordred.) He looks up sharply as the door opens -- and then there's a sort of explosion that culminates in hugs.

"Helyes, helyes gyerek--" Sagramore tugs him close, laughing and kissing.

"You're a horrible man," fondly. "How are you?"

"Extraordinarily well, but, Christ Jesu, it wasn't half as pleasant as I expected it would be, without you."
