but wasn't grindlewald still alive? put away in the prison he built? and voldemort went to him, and grindlewald wouldnt tell him where the wand was, and then died for it?
the last book brought out the most questions from me, by far. i guess im not ready to admit that this is the end.

VOLDEMORT killed him, not Dumbledore. Go figure.
See, and now their whole relationship makes even more sense! Dumbledore couldn't bring himself to kill the man he loved, so Grindelwald raised a white flag (he shot it out of his wand, right?) and was imprisoned in the same prison that he built to hold those who opposed him.
I love these books so much. I really need to re-read Deathly Hallows, seeing as I obviously don't know it very well after 2 reads lol.
