research methods in social work. its the kind of exhilarating teaching where the prof reads off her slides but still manages to confuse herself. somehow i always get the sense she is drunk or drugged when she is teaching.

but seriously, i can't think of any department in a university where that comment would be appropriate - isn't the whole point of university to develop critical and analytical skills?
