This fanmix grew out from that one phrase. Once I heard it, and thought, “Sherlock,” my mind would not give me peace until I’d picked out enough songs to make a playlist. Oh my God! Beirut and Andrew Bird. Together. In a Sherlock fanmix. This is perfect!

Oh No always reminds me of Sherlock as well. I even posted something for that yesterday in tumblr :D It is surprising (and of course awesome) how many Andrew Bird songs can be related to Sherlock.

Yeah!! I love how the two complement each other so well....Once I decided the mix would revolve around Oh No, I just kinda went through every Beirut song I had in hopes there would be something appropriate...lol. It's a bit of a shame that I couldn't include some of my favorite songs by Beirut, though...

lol, I'm so glad everyone's been on the same wavelength about Andrew Bird. XD It's interesting what you said about relevance to Sherlock, though, since neither Andrew Bird nor Beirut really focus on lyrics...there's article in the NY Times about how the song, Oh No, was put together, if you've not read it yet.:)
