YEAH, LEARN TO SWIM. It is a valuable skill! I was subjected to swimming lessons for all of my youth (and had to take the Turtle class three times because apparently I failed at crawl stroke, which does not surprise me because I HATE CRAWL STROKE, although not as much as I hate butterfly), and now I can splash around in the water and not be scared of drowning, so I guess it was worth it
( ... )
I rather feel like I need hypnotherapy for my traumatizing experience of almost drowning before proceeding. But, yeah, it does seem like it would be worth it to become competent at this one thing, at least?
Oh, absolutely. Don't you know I love every kind of animal? Except for primates, maybe. They creep me out.
My vote is for #2! I don't know, I just love that photo...where are you getting all of these excellent dated photographs?? (*laughing at grown!Alek's flyaway hair*)
Alright, I kind of already posted the mix online with v.1, but I'll also ask Andrea's opinion before making the hard copies and see what she says. As for where I'm getting the photos from, they are the result of many hours of Google searches. (Although I also managed to find the National Library of Scotland's Flickr, which is largely dedicated to a huge collection of amazing WW1 photos. (THOUSANDS of them, in fact.))
Oh my goodness I want this life. All of it. ;____;
This makes me a bit sad. My life is hectic and stressful and, not unhappy but, lacking in days when I can go out for walks or garden or go to the theatre. Honestly, it's easy to lose track of what's important.
And this makes me feel very young. But I guess that's not a bad thing, in some ways.
Anyway I think it's wonderful to have long term goals, things you can refer back to that will keep you on the right path.
I'm sorry it made you sad...that wasn't my intention at all! Then again, I feel my life includes very little of these things at the moment, so you are not alone. I guess the best we can do is to incorporate bits and pieces when we can? I've been rewarding myself with books and tea when I finish a chapter in my MCAT book. hurrah!
And, no, it isn't....ever? Don't people want to feel young all the time? It's a bit funny, actually, because my vacation made me realize I can't keep up with the Young Un's anymore. D8 !!! Time to get back into shape!!!
