So, for my Opera theater class... We're presenting a scene from the absurdist/surrealist play "The Breasts of Tiresias". The scene is the very moment Thérèse turns into Tiresias. I get to be wonderfully and gloriously vulgar and obscene. Phallic symbols and breasts will abound, in balloon form...

Most of Opera's a perversion in the first place...It's all about sex: wanting sex, killing for sex, killing because you can't have any sex, whining because you the person you want to have sex with has died of consumption/been stabbed to death.

I'm actually doing a scene from the original play, it's great. I'm playing Tiresias (More gender-bending fun since it's traditionally played by a woman)...I'm going to spend most of it with a giant inflatable penis (If I can aquire one) in between my legs.
