Random observation:
Most of my casual hobbies involve things that almost all of us do when we're little but most people give up as they grow older.
Roleplaying? A grown-up version of playing make-believe and pretending to be my favourite characters. Only difference is that I always played Sailor Moon back then, and it's Mars now.
Cosplay? Almost every kid spends their childhood eagerly anticipating Halloween, when we all parade around dressed up like our favourite characters. The only difference now is that I make the costumes myself (badly).
Video games? More adults play games these days, but many still see them as childish.
Fanfiction? Making up stories about my favourite characters. I'm pretty sure we all did this as kids. Professional writers build their own worlds. I might do that one day too, but for now I want to play with my fandom loves.
Secret? I love it. All of it. :D

And now for the actual entry:
I went on a trip to nowhere today! How? Well, mom was dragging me off to another bible study group. She hadn't been to this one before, and wanted to check it out.
We got to a late start, an ominous forewarning of the fail to follow. According to the carefully copied and pasted directions, it would take 40 minutes to get there if we followed the directions perfectly. Naturally, by the time we got on the road, the meeting's start time was exactly 40 minutes away. Can you guess what happened next?
If you answered "Zoki and her mom got lost!", you're correct! We made a wrong turn onto North X Road instead of South X road, and didn't realize this until we had driven about ten miles the wrong way. If we'd traveled the twenty miles in the right direction and then found the building, we would have arrived been 45 minutes late. Assuming we didn't get lost again, that is. We ended up turning around and heading back home, because the meeting is only an hour long.
This, my friends, is why I'm buying my mother a GPS for Christmas.
