 A great idea for a novel:  Make a sci-fi story out of the missing years of Jesus' life.  And just to piss off the majority of church goers, end it with his marriage to Mary Magdalene.  You could come up with all kinds of weird shit to happen between age 12 and 30.  It could be like a "how he got his powers" sci- fi book.  I'd read it.  I'd think

I don't think I understand your argument... can a God not be human? Can a God not come into a humans body, yet still be God also? It's been a running theme in almost every religion for forever....

I believe that Jesus was both fully human and fully divine. does that mean i think he was infallible? No. he wouldn't have been fully human if he was. I think God put him on this earth to fully experience what being human was and that includes f-ing things up sometimes.

-i also think that when the Church was assembling the bible there were reason for leaving out those years and i think you're right in thinking a lot of stuff happened during those years, stuff the church didn't want us to know about. And because they made those decisions hundreds of years ago we can now only grow in our religion so far. (mind you, you never know--those years may just prove everything we've been taught all these years is a sham, either way i'd like to know what Christ did when he was our age too)

They already turned your idea into a movie...it's called Star Wars! Hey, you may be interested in the lost books of the Bible, the Apocrapha, that go into some detail about the MAN Jesus Christ. He went through ever major sin I think. The one that sticks out in my mind is how he killed one of his playmates, just because he got mad at them...I dont know, maybe Mary told him to share and he had a tantrum!
