My roommate Mary just came in from Broad Street and showed me pictures of everyone out in the streets. How does overturning sculptures, breaking into stores, and climbing up telephone poles show support for your team and celebration?
This is the shit I'm talking about.

I saw some of the footage, it's crazy. It was even worse in Boston when the Red Sox won though. Police came with riot gear and apparently killed some bitch in the process.

The annoying thing about that is that I guarantee the people breaking shit aren't Phillies fans, just a bunch of people who are like "Oh hey big party let's be destructive."

In other words, I don't get it either.

Sadly, the same thing happens in Montreal whenever our hockey team wins the Stanley cup. People look for a reason to act stupid and it's easier to hide in a crowd. :-S
