Free html ebooks from Tor

So a while back, I came across something that mentioned that Tor offered free pdf books on their web site. (Tor does a lot of SF stuff, for those who are interested.) I signed up, but that was a few days before the start of finals, so I didn't bother to, you know, look at the emails I was getting and try to download any of the books because I didn' ( Read more... )

I don't think there are any restrictions about who can sign up. It just gives you free links to books. I could be wrong, but I don't see why you can't sign up.

It really is a great service. If, for some reason, links for something don't work, check with me. I've downloaded almost everything (except things I'd read already) and still have it filed away.

Another great one is Baen's webscriptions and free library. The free library (http://www.baen.com/library/) has the first couple of books of most of their series available in just about any format you could want. They also have ebooks available for very reasonable prices as well (though you can read the first third to half of most of the books before you buy).
