Got the stuff from Hadley today. (Hadley looks funny in braille.) I did indeed end up with two chess sets. The board Hadley provided is conveniently braille-labeled around the edges, so I will be using that one from now on. The braille materials from Hadley are a nice touch--I like the braille diagrams. I'm guessing you're talking about Maurice and Jen... Jen was my roommate in Louisiana before she graduated. I think between the two of them and a few others the Virgina Center will be able to make some great improvements!

Yeah. We are going to friend each other on here. :) I worked for one of the regional offices of the agency, and there are other people who *do* get it. This is encouraging to me. And Maurice and I have known each other for a long, long time.

I am exactly like you, i have a preference to "see" things in braille/tactile. I can't learn just by hearing something... then again, being deaf doesn't help either.
