This place is too quiet. Peace does not exist here, but it is too...calm.

I think I will change that.

[itty bitty pause.]

Also, I would like to read some poetry. I will consider your recommendations.

[Private to Loki]

I waited too long; my time has run out. Hayley left before I could apologize.

I am sorry, Loki.

Goddess, I love it when you talk like that.

I am infinitely patient.

The language of violence is my natural tongue.

I am enjoying this. It is much better than behaving.

It suits you perfectly.

It is much better than behaving. Especially with a warden like yours, I'm assuming?

Thank you!

I behave for her, and then she leaves for six months. Six months! I tire of 'being good'.

Machado, Tennyson, for a start. I would seriously recommend the Campos de Castilla, though.

Tennyson, Machado, Campos de Castilla.

Do you forget that I do not speak Spanish, Doctor Caesares? Is it in English? Is it in French?

....is it in Nahuatl? [Who has two thumbs and has read up on her Spanish history?]

[Oh, you can hear the tense]

Tennyson is in English. The rest should be available in translation.

Not, I imagine, to, Nahuatl, sorry.

Not much is written in Nahuatl. The language was nearly destroyed - annihilated.

"What tho' the moon - the white moon
Shed all the splendour of her noon,
Her smile is chilly - and her beam,
In that time of dreariness, will seem
(So like you gather in your breath)
A portrait taken after death.
And boyhood is a summer sun
Whose waning is the dreariest one --
For all we live to know is known,
And all we seek to keep hath flown -
Let life, then, as the day-flower, fall
With the noon-day beauty - which is all."

Before the goddess seeks to rectify the quiet, might I have her company?

I liked the poem before it mentioned the sun. I will not be too judgmental - the poem calls my smile chilly, and it is true.

You may have my company. I would enjoy it.

It is an excerpt of a poem about a conqueror. By Edgar Allen Poe. Tamerlane.

I'll come by, then.

I have read Edgar Allen Poe - the story about the Beating Heart. I liked that story. I did not know of his poetry, but now I'll look.

Yes, my cabin will be open to you.

No, but I shouldn't have waited. I should have apologized sooner.

Loki...she was your friend. Do you need company?

Calm? This place is far from calm. Things are happening every minute.

And you should try Machado. He's Spanish.

Uninteresting things.

I hate the Spanish.

I could make things interesting. [If he were out. Which isn't happening.] I'm bored. And hungry. I could make things very interesting.

Why?

Could you? How?

The Spanish are slaughterers of the Nahua peoples.
