Fire Pretear cosplay

Animaritime was this weekend, and I was cosplaying as Fire Pretear. The general consensus is that I am out of my mind for hand sewing the entire costume. Alas, my boot covers did not arrive in time. I neglected to factor in the Bubble when ordering things. :p And I just completely forgot about a wig. :p

The dress is actually a blouse and a skort. I decided that the skirt is too short for me to do it any other way. :p

Not only that the whole dress is much tigher on Himeno. Still it's done very well. And I have to say that when you look at it, you're right the skirt is normally much shorter then what you have right now in the pics.

Just between you and me, it would take a lot of guts to wear something like that (or a Sailor Mono fuku) at cosplay because let's face it, they're really short. I shouldn't worry too much about it myself, as long as I'd have fun (and had the time and style) I'd do Kei one time.

Yeah, hand sewing is slow and fitting it tighter wasn't happening. :p There was also the issue of con staff needing a certain degree of mobility. :p

The only time I regretted doing a costume this short was when I had to run from one building to the other. Because... it's winter out there. :p

Somehow, I will figure out how to make that axe. Or something like it. :p
