In Canada, milk comes in 4L bags, each 4L bag has three 1.33L mini-bags in them. These mini-bags go in milk jugs, which are plastic, are made specifically to fit the 1.33L mini-bags, and have a handle for ease of pouring. It is this milk jug - standard equipment in Canada - that my apartment apparently lacks.
